Analyze soil and water using NexION 2000 ICP-MS according to U.S. EPA 6020B method
With the development of global industry and the continuous growth of population, liquid and solid waste from different sources continue to enter our environment. In order to protect humans and the environment from the harm caused by liquid and solid waste, the United States implemented the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) in 1976. Four years later, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released the "Solid Waste Assessment Testing Methods, Physical/Chemical Methods" (also known as SW-846) to assist laboratories in responding to RCRA. SW-846 has a broad coverage, including many methods, covering numerous types of samples and detection indicators. Due to the fact that waste can affect the environment through soil and water, both RCRA and SW-846 cover soil and water quality.
