The portable composite multi-channel gas analyzer is a portable device that can simultaneously detect multiple gases and is widely used in fields such as petroleum, chemical, environmental protection, and gas distribution. The detection method covers three stages: preparation before operation, implementation of the detection process, and post-processing after detection, as follows:
1、 Preparation before operation
Instrument inspection and calibration
Self check function: After turning on, the instrument automatically performs self checks on sensors, battery levels, alarm functions, etc., confirming that the display screen, indicator lights, and button status are normal.
Calibration operation: Use standard gas or known concentration gas samples to calibrate the sensitivity and accuracy of the instrument. Calibration needs to be carried out in a laboratory or specialized equipment, operated by professionals to ensure that the measurement range, accuracy, and stability meet the requirements.
Component inspection: Check whether the probe, cable, battery and other components are intact to avoid affecting the test results due to component damage.
Environmental assessment for testing
Gas type confirmation: Based on the types of gases that may leak on site (such as flammable gases, toxic gases, oxygen, etc.), plan a detection plan in advance.
Preparation of protective measures: For toxic gases or flammable and explosive environments, equip with protective equipment such as air respirators and gas masks to ensure the safety of operators.
Parameter Settings
Mode selection: Select the appropriate detection mode and range based on the type and concentration range of the gas being detected.
Alarm threshold setting: Set the gas concentration alarm value to ensure timely triggering of sound and light alarms when exceeding the standard.
2、 Implementation of testing process
Sampling method selection
Built in pump suction measurement: By using the instrument's built-in pump to actively extract gas samples, the flow rate is usually 800 milliliters per minute, suitable for negative or positive pressure gas detection.
Long distance sampling: The special gas path design supports sampling distances exceeding 10 meters and can directly detect negative or positive pressure gases (range -0.5 to 2 kilograms) without affecting the measurement results.
Real time detection and data recording
Multi gas synchronous detection: The instrument can display 1-6 gas concentrations simultaneously (expandable to 18), with freely switchable units (such as PPM, mg/m ³, Vol%, etc.).
Display mode switching: supports multi gas display on the same screen, single channel focused display, and real-time curve display, making it easy to observe the trend of gas concentration changes.
Data storage: Equipped with large capacity storage (such as 100000 pieces of data), it supports real-time storage, scheduled storage, or only storing alarm data. It can be uploaded to a computer for analysis through USB, RS232 interface, or infrared communication.
Alarm and emergency response
Multi level alarm: synchronized triggering of sound and light alarm, display screen visual alarm, and multi-directional three-dimensional indication of alarm status.
Leakage source localization: When moving the probe to the leakage source, the concentration display screen value increases to assist in quickly locating the leakage point.
3、 Post detection processing
Data transmission and analysis
Wireless transmission: Optional remote wireless transmission function, real-time uploading of detection data to the management system.
Local viewing and deletion: Supports local viewing and deletion of historical data for easy on-site operation.
Instrument maintenance and upkeep
Clean the sensor: Use a soft cloth or specialized tool to gently wipe the surface of the sensor to avoid dust and dirt affecting accuracy.
Air source management: Check for leaks or blockages in the pipeline, regularly replace the air source filter to prevent impurities from entering the instrument.
Consumables replacement: Regularly replace consumables such as filter cartridges and electrolytes according to usage frequency to ensure that the quality of consumables meets requirements.
Storage and transportation
Storage environment: Store in a dry, ventilated, and safe place when not in use, avoiding harsh environments such as high temperature, humidity, and dust.
Shock and Explosion proof: Handle with care during transportation to avoid collisions and vibrations, ensuring stable instrument performance.
4、 Key technical parameters and precautions
Detection principle: Select electrochemical (toxic gases, oxygen), infrared (carbon dioxide), catalytic combustion (flammable and explosive gases), thermal conductivity (high concentration gas purity), PID photoionization (volatile organic compounds) and other principles according to the gas type.
Accuracy and stability: allowable error ≤± 2% F.S, linearity ≤± 2%, repeatability ≤± 2%, response time T90 ≤ 20 seconds.
Environmental adaptability: Operating temperature range of -40 ℃ to+70 ℃, humidity ≤ 10-95% RH, built-in filter can be used in high humidity or high dust environments.
Safe operation: Avoid using in high temperature, strong magnetic field, strong electric field environment, and prohibit direct contact with chemical substances such as strong acids and bases.
