The reporter learned from the Guangzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that in the first eight months of this year, Guangzhou inspected and supervised 507 batches of imported toys with a value of 17.673 million US dollars, an increase of 13.4% and 97.8% respectively compared to last year. Toys came from many countries and regions around the world, with Hong Kong and Germany being the majority. Fifteen batches of non-conforming products were detected, a year-on-year decrease of 6.3%. The main problem with the products is incomplete or missing product labeling and non-standard use of instructions or safety warning language.
