On June 4, 2015, the Official Journal of the European Union (OJ) issued the RoHS2.0 revised directive (EU) 2015/863, officially adding DEHP, DBP, BBP, and DIBP to the list of restricted substances in Appendix II, bringing the total number of mandatory controlled substances in Appendix II to ten. After the issuance of this revised directive, EU member states are required to approve and issue laws, regulations, and administrative provisions that comply with the directive before December 31, 2016. The relevant provisions should be implemented from July 22, 2019.

Starting from July 22, 2021, restrictions on DEHP, BBP, DEP, and DIBP apply to medical devices (including in vitro medical devices) and monitoring and control instruments (including industrial monitoring and control instruments);

The restrictions on DEHP, BBP, DBP, and DIBP do not apply to connecting wires and spare wires used for repairing, reusing, updating functions, or upgrading capacity of electronic and electrical equipment that was put on the market before July 22, 2019.
