Although the land imitation function currently only supports use in 2D mapping, it still provides us with great convenience. In areas with significant terrain changes, ensure the accuracy of results based on terrain undulations.

2.2 Ultra clear matrix photography

To obtain high-definition details of the target, using the ultra clear matrix photography function can achieve twice the result with half the effort. When taking photos, select the area of interest in the wide-angle frame, and the zoom camera will automatically capture each matrix block one by one, obtaining a set of local images and a global image with one click. These photos will be automatically saved in the same folder for viewing details.

2.3 Cross shaped flight

Not only does the Elf 4 RTK have this feature, but the Royal 3E has also released it in this version, adding a three-way swing shooting function, greatly improving field efficiency and reducing many unnecessary photos.

Compared to five directional flight, cross shaped flight improves efficiency while ensuring model accuracy, thereby reducing the display effect of the model.

3. Scenario testing: Comparison of Jingzi flight between Elf 4 RTK and Yu 3E

3.1 Route planning and parameter setting

Flight range: Same KML, with an area of 50000 square meters;

Flight mode: Elf 4 RTK cross shaped flight, Royal 3E cross shaped flight+swing function;

Flight altitude: 90m;

Flight speed: Elf 4 RTK 7.5m/s (maximum allowable speed for the route), Yu 3E flight speed 13.5m/s-15m/s (different speeds depending on the route swing mode (one-way outside the modeling area, three-way inside the modeling area, software automatic calculation cannot be modified);

Overlap: 80% heading and 70% lateral.

3.2 Field Flight Data Collection

Elf 4 RTK has a flight duration of 25min and 15s in the cross shaped flight mode;

The flight duration of the Yu3E in the mode of well shaped flight and swing function is 11 minutes and 13 seconds;

With the same flight parameters, the field duration of the Royal 3E is 40% of that of the Elf 4 RTK, and the photo is 60% of that of the Elf 4 RTK. Under the same accuracy conditions, the field efficiency has been greatly improved.

On the same computer and with the same internal parameter settings, the three time of Yu3 is 60% of that of Elf 4 RTK, and the modeling time is 85% of that of Elf 4 RTK. The same area saves internal time and quickly obtains model data.

The overall model effect of the two aircraft is similar, with some details being better achieved by the 3E. The efficiency of the 3E is also higher.
