The rubber rebound tester is equipped with high-precision sensors and measurement systems, which can accurately measure small deformations and changes in rebound height, thereby providing accurate rebound data. This is crucial for precise control of material properties in research and production processes. Its structural design is usually simple and intuitive, mainly composed of machine base, main column, swing rod, impact ball, pendulum, sample clamping device, rebound indicator plate and other major components. It is easy to operate, and even non professionals can quickly get started with testing after simple training.
It can be used for testing rubber products of various shapes, sizes, and hardness. Whether it is block, sheet, or irregular samples, they can be accurately measured after being fixed with suitable fixtures. And it can adjust parameters such as impact energy and impact speed according to different testing requirements to meet diverse experimental requirements. Due to the use of scientific testing methods and standardized operating procedures, the test results have high repeatability and reproducibility, and the test data from different times and batches have good comparability, providing a reliable basis for material quality control and performance evaluation. Used for product quality testing in rubber product manufacturing enterprises to ensure that products meet relevant standards; Assist researchers in gaining a deeper understanding of the mechanical properties of rubber materials in research institutions, and develop new rubber formulations and processes.
Rubber rebound tester is an important tool for evaluating the elastic properties of rubber materials. The following are the measurement steps:
1. Preparation work
-Select appropriate accessories: Based on the hardness and thickness of the rubber sample to be tested, choose the appropriate striker (or hammer) and spring to ensure measurement accuracy.
-Place the sample: Place the rubber sample on a flat horizontal surface; If a specific sample holder is used, the center of the sample needs to be aligned with the center of the hammer or striker of the rebound instrument.
2. Conduct testing
-Manual measurement method (simple method): compress the sample to a predetermined height by hand, then release the pressure, measure the height of the sample after rebound, and calculate the rebound rate based on the ratio of rebound height to compression height. However, this method may be affected by human factors, resulting in relatively low accuracy of the results.
-Instrument measurement method: Start the rebound instrument to allow the pendulum to fall freely and impact the rubber sample, or let the spring-loaded hammer (or drop hammer) hit the rubber sample to be measured. Then record the rebound height of the pendulum after impacting the rubber sample, or the rebound distance of the hammer (or drop hammer), and other data. For example, some instruments may be set to a horizontal and locked drop height of 400mm. The first three test data will not be recorded (for sample stability), and the rebound scale values from the 4th to 6th times will be recorded for each sample.
3. Data recording and processing: Detailed recording of relevant data for each test, such as angle values, calculated rebound rates, and environmental temperature and humidity conditions. Usually, three samples are tested for each group of samples, and the average value is taken as the test result for that group of samples.
