Angiogenesis, the process of forming new blood vessels from existing blood vessels, is an important physiological phenomenon involving vertebrate development and wound healing. The process of angiogenesis is controlled by the action of pro angiogenic and anti angiogenic molecules under strict steady-state regulation. This disruption of internal homeostasis has been proven to play a role under various pathological conditions. The insufficient process of angiogenesis or preservation of blood vessels is involved in various degenerative diseases, such as myocardial infarction, neurodegenerative diseases, etc. Abnormal vascular growth and abnormal vascular morphology are associated with many diseases, such as cancer, chronic inflammation, and macular degeneration. Developing various cell-based analytical methods to study angiogenesis, as well as the effects of pro angiogenic and anti angiogenic compounds, is crucial for the development of drugs for treating cancer, cardiac ischemia, and other diseases. Imaging methods are important for evaluating angiogenesis, so it is meaningful to use stable and accurate imaging systems and software to appropriately capture, analyze, and quantify this complex biological process.
