Structure and protection requirements of cylindrical filter equipment

Cylindrical filter is a device that achieves solid-liquid separation through a rotating cylindrical structure, widely used in industries such as mining, metallurgy, chemical engineering, and environmental protection. To ensure its safe and efficient operation, the following safety requirements must be met:
1、 Equipment installation and environmental requirements
1. Basic stability
The equipment should be installed on a flat and solid foundation platform to ensure that there is no shaking or vibration when the cylinder rotates.
The foundation needs to reserve anchor bolt holes and fix them with secondary grouting after installation to prevent displacement.
2. Space and operational distance
At least 1 meter of maintenance access should be reserved around the equipment for easy operation, maintenance, and emergency response.
A safety distance of ≥ 0.5 meters should be reserved between the top of the cylinder and the ceiling to avoid collisions.
3. Environmental adaptability
Avoid installation in corrosive gases, dust, or humid environments. If unavoidable, sealing or protective measures (such as explosion-proof motors, anti-corrosion coatings) should be taken.
The work area should be equipped with anti slip flooring and emergency lighting.
2、 Structure and protection requirements of cylindrical filter equipment
1. Cylinder and transmission system
The material of the cylinder must meet the process requirements (such as stainless steel, carbon steel, or wear-resistant lining plate), the welding of the cylinder should be free of cracks, and the rotational balance must undergo dynamic balance testing.
Transmission devices (motors, reducers, couplings) need to be equipped with protective covers to prevent personnel from coming into contact with rotating parts.
2. Filter cloth and mesh
The filter cloth should be made of corrosion-resistant and high-strength materials, and the tension should be moderate during installation to prevent deviation or tearing.
Regularly check the wear of the filter cloth and replace it promptly if it is damaged.
3. Unloading device
The discharge port should be equipped with anti blocking design (such as vibrators, high-pressure spraying devices), and a safety net should be set up to prevent materials from splashing and injuring people.
The inclination angle of the discharge chute should be ≥ 55 ° to ensure smooth discharge of materials.
3、 Safety operation specifications for cylindrical filter machine
1. Check before startup
Confirm that there are no tools or debris left inside the cylinder, the filter cloth is installed in place, and all lubrication points have been lubricated.
Check if the electrical system, emergency stop button, and protective devices are intact.
2. Monitoring during operation
It is strictly prohibited to approach rotating parts or touch the filter cloth while the equipment is running.
Monitor the motor current, bearing temperature, and vibration amplitude, and immediately shut down if any abnormalities are found.
When dealing with blockages or malfunctions, it is necessary to shut down and cut off the power supply, and hang a warning sign.
3. Shutdown operation
Before stopping the machine, rinse the cylinder with clean water or inert medium to prevent residual materials from solidifying.
When the machine is shut down for a long time, it is necessary to clean the filter cloth and cylinder, and regularly rotate to prevent rusting of the components.
4、 Cylinder filter safety protection device
1. Emergency braking and shutdown
The equipment needs to be equipped with an emergency stop button (red mushroom head button) with an independent power supply, covering all operating areas.
The transmission system should be equipped with braking devices (such as pneumatic or electric brakes) to ensure that the cylinder stops quickly during emergency shutdown.
2. Protective barriers and warning signs
A protective fence with a height of ≥ 1.2 meters should be set up around the equipment, and a "rotating equipment danger" warning sign should be hung at the entrance.
Reflective strips or yellow and black warning lines should be posted near rotating components.
3. Leakage and overload protection
The electrical system needs to be well grounded and equipped with leakage protectors, overload relays, and short-circuit protection devices.
Motors and cables must have waterproof and dustproof ratings.
