1Hydrogen Carrier Gas GeneratorDaily operation and maintenance
Water level and water quality management
Real time monitoring of water level: Observe the water level through the device's LED backlight liquid level window to ensure that the liquid level is between the upper and lower scale lines. Long term liquid shortage operation may damage the electrolytic cell core. It is necessary to regularly replenish distilled water or deionized water, and avoid using tap water or mineral containing water (to prevent calcium and magnesium ion deposition from blocking the electrolytic channel).
Regularly replace electrolyte: Replace the electrolysis water once a month, and if used frequently, the cycle can be shortened. When the electrolyte becomes turbid, it needs to be completely replaced. The newly configured electrolyte is a 15% KOH solution, and when adding water, be careful not to exceed the upper water level line.
Pressure and flow monitoring
Stable output parameters: The output pressure should be stable at 0.4MPa and the maximum flow rate should be 350mL/min. If the pressure fluctuation exceeds 0.05 MPa or the flow rate drops sharply, it is necessary to check for gas path blockage (such as residual liquid or impurity accumulation in purification pipes or liquid barriers) or a decrease in electrolysis efficiency.
Airtightness inspection: Check for air leaks at the gas path connections every month. Apply neutral soap solution to the connection points and observe for any air bubbles.
Maintenance of cooling system
Maintain good ventilation: Avoid stacking debris around the equipment to ensure the normal operation of the cooling fan. If the shell temperature exceeds 50 ℃ during full load operation, the cooling system should be checked to prevent high temperatures from affecting the electrolysis efficiency (generally, the electrolysis temperature should be ≤ 60 ℃).
2、 Key component maintenance
Maintenance of electrolytic cell core
Efficiency attenuation treatment: The efficiency attenuation cycle of the electrolytic cell core is about 1-2 years. If the gas production rate decreases or the purity decreases (below 99.999%), cleaning can be attempted. After power off, drain the electrolytic cell water, soak in 10% citric acid solution for 30 minutes to remove scale, rinse with deionized water until neutral, and then add electrolyte again.
Avoid self disassembly: The inner cylinder of the electrolytic cell is the anode, and the chassis is the cathode. Insulation should be maintained except for the power cord to prevent damage.
Filter system replacement
Color changing silicone desiccant: When the color changing indicator in the pre transparent purification room changes from blue to red, it needs to be replaced, and the lifespan is usually 6-12 months (depending on the frequency of use). When replacing, turn off the power, unscrew the tube counterclockwise, remove the old filter element, wipe the inner wall with alcohol, and install the new filter element (note that the sealing ring is intact).
Molecular sieve and filter cartridge: It is recommended to replace the color changing silica gel every three times before replacing the molecular sieve; Other filter materials should be replaced every 2-3 months.
Maintenance of liquid barrier
Regular drainage: Check the liquid barrier for any accumulated liquid every month. If there is water in the gas path, unscrew the bottom drainage valve to drain the liquid. If necessary, blow the gas path with dry nitrogen gas. When the barrier film in the barrier is damaged (manifested as an increase in gas humidity), it needs to be replaced immediately.
3、 Long term shutdown and restart
Long term shutdown treatment
Emptying and drying: When the machine is shut down for more than 7 days, it is necessary to use the convenient exhaust function to relieve the pressure in the gas path, empty the water in the electrolytic cell, and blow the gas path with dry air to prevent component corrosion.
Alkali solution treatment: When idle for a long time, all alkali solutions should be poured out, washed with clean water, dried, and placed in a dry and ventilated place.
Check before restart
Aging inspection of sealing components: Before reactivation, check whether all sealing rings (such as purification pipes and electrolytic cell interfaces) are aging, and replace them with new components if necessary.
Parameter calibration: Two level pressure control (photoelectric pressure control+pressure switch) needs to be calibrated once every quarter. Use a standard pressure gauge to connect the equipment output port and observe whether the pressure switch action value is within the range of 0.4 ± 0.02MPa. If the deviation exceeds 0.05MPa, contact the manufacturer to adjust or replace the pressure sensor.
4、 Safety and operational standards
Safety operation requirements
Leak prevention and explosion prevention: Hydrogen is a flammable and explosive gas, and it is necessary to regularly use hydrogen leak detection instruments to check connection points and pipeline systems (especially valves, pipeline joints, and gaskets). Ensure that the oxygen discharge outlet is unobstructed to prevent alkali leakage.
Fire and explosion prevention facilities: equipped with hydrogen concentration alarm, automatic cut-off device, etc., regularly detecting sensitivity and working status.
Operation taboos
No no-load operation: The liquid level must not be lower than the bottom line of the liquid level when powered on, otherwise it will burn out the equipment.
Avoid frequent start stop: Long term continuous operation or frequent start stop will increase equipment wear, and the usage time should be arranged reasonably.
5Hydrogen Carrier Gas GeneratorEnvironment and Preventive Maintenance
environmental control
Maintain dryness and cleanliness: The laboratory environment should be dry, clean, and at a suitable temperature, avoiding direct sunlight, rain, or vibration to prevent electronic components from being affected by moisture or overheating and damage.
Preventive maintenance
Regularly replace consumables: replace desiccants, filter cartridges, and other vulnerable parts in a timely manner according to usage frequency.
Data monitoring and analysis: By monitoring equipment operation data (such as pressure, flow rate, temperature), abnormalities can be detected in a timely manner and preventive maintenance measures can be taken.
