The maintenance procedures for stainless steel water quality samplers are as follows:
1、 Daily cleaning and disinfection
Cleaning of shell and sample room
Use a damp sponge or soft cloth dipped in neutral cleaning agent (organic solvents such as alcohol and acetone are prohibited) to wipe the outer shell and sample chamber, avoiding surface damage from abrasive cleaning agents.
After cleaning, rinse with clean water and then rinse with distilled water to ensure no residue.
Focus on cleaning the sampling head (such as submersible pump impeller, float type inlet) to prevent blockage by sediment and algae.
Sample bottle cleaning
Clean the sample bottle with a brush and mild detergent, rinse with clean water and distilled water in sequence to avoid cross contamination.
Pipeline cleaning
Rinse the inlet and pump pipes with mild detergent or clean water through pump pressure, which can be operated in manual mode.
A filter probe should be installed at the front end of the sampling pipeline to prevent large particles and impurities from entering the pump body.
2、 Key component maintenance
Peristaltic pump tube maintenance
Regular replacement: Replace the pump tube according to the frequency of use (such as sampling 24 bottles per day and replacing 1000 milliliters each time for about a month) or fluctuations in sampling volume.
Installation requirements: Ensure that the pump tube length is appropriate and avoid bending that affects sensor detection; Remove residual silicone from the pump box and rotor before installation.
Chemical compatibility: Choose food grade silicone tubing that is resistant to high temperatures and corrosion to avoid wear caused by the transmission of frictional solids (such as coarse sand particles).
Pump body and valve inspection
Manual pump: Rotate the piston or impeller to check if the resistance is uniform, and clean it when stuck (but do not use lubricants to avoid reducing the service life of the pump tube).
Electric pump: Clean the dust on the surface of the motor and check if the power cord interface is oxidized (use sandpaper to polish and apply conductive paste when oxidized).
Valve sealing: Use clean water to test the inlet and outlet valves, and there should be no dripping after closing.
Seal inspection
Check the O-ring connecting the sampling head and pipeline every month for deformation (measure thickness with a caliper, replace if worn>1mm), and apply silicone grease to enhance sealing.
3、 Regular calibration and performance verification
flow calibration
Calibrate the sampling flow rate with a standard flowmeter every quarter, and adjust it when the deviation is greater than ± 5%.
Sensor verification
Verify the sensor response with a standard solution (such as pH 4.01/7.01/10.01 buffer solution for pH sensors) to ensure data accuracy.
Battery maintenance
Check the battery voltage weekly (if the 12V battery voltage is less than 10.5V, it needs to be charged or replaced).
When not in use for a long time, perform protective charging once a month to prevent battery damage from over discharge.
4、 Usage environment and storage requirements
environmental conditions
Avoid direct sunlight, high temperatures, or enclosed environments without ventilation to prevent the refrigeration compressor from operating at overload or the control system from overheating.
Stay away from vibrating surfaces or strong vibration environments to prevent parts from loosening or inaccurate sampling.
Long term storage
Drain the pipeline and residual water in the pump body to prevent freezing or microbial growth.
Store in a dry and ventilated place (humidity<60%), wrap the sampler in a closed bag to avoid sediment and impurities affecting the sampling effect.
5、 Troubleshooting and Precautions
Fault handling
When the pump tube is found to be broken or malfunctioning, immediately replace it with a similar peristaltic tube and disable other types of tubes (which may damage the peristaltic pump).
If the sampler cannot work properly, do not repair it without authorization. Contact the manufacturer or professional personnel for handling.
Operation taboos
Do not use chemical reagents or hard objects to clean the sampler to prevent surface damage.
Do not use the sampler in water sources with pathogenic microorganisms to avoid cross contamination.
Before operation, the power must be cut off to ensure safety.
