High purity hydrogen generatorInstallation Environment and Power Configuration Guide: Standardized Operations from Site Selection to Wiring
1、 Installation environment requirements
Ventilation and drying
The equipment should be installed in a well ventilated and dry environment to avoid safety hazards caused by hydrogen accumulation.
The recommended relative humidity is ≤ 85% to prevent equipment from being damaged by moisture.
Temperature range: 0-40 ℃ (some models support -5-50 ℃), avoid direct sunlight or rain.
Safe distance and space
Reserve at least 0.5 meters of operating distance around the equipment for daily maintenance and emergency repairs.
The installation platform should be level and sturdy to prevent vibration from causing malfunctions.
Environmental cleanliness
Avoid contact with corrosive gases, dust, or flammable substances to extend the service life of the equipment.
Stay away from sources of fire and areas where static electricity is generated to reduce the risk of explosion.
2、 Power Configuration Specification
Voltage and frequency
The input power supply must meet the rated requirements of the equipment (such as AC220V ± 10%, 50Hz ± 5%) to avoid voltage fluctuations that may damage the circuit.
The power socket should be equipped with a reliable grounding function to prevent electric leakage from causing electric shock to the operator.
Wiring steps
Step 1: Use a dedicated cable to connect the device to the power supply, ensuring that the connector is secure and not loose.
Step 2: Insert the power cord into a standard socket and check if the grounding terminal is connected to a reliable grounding system.
Step 3: After connecting the power, observe whether the device indicator lights (such as the power red light and gas production green light) are lit up normally.
Precautions
It is strictly prohibited to operate the equipment when the power supply is not grounded or poorly grounded.
Avoid sharing the same circuit with high-power devices to prevent current overload.
3、 Preparation and inspection before installation
Equipment unboxing inspection
Check whether the appearance of the equipment is intact, and whether the spare parts (such as KOH electrolyte, silicone drying particles, gas pipeline), certificates of conformity, and warranty cards are complete.
Check whether the air circuit connection components (such as sealing rings and joints) are aging or damaged, and replace them if necessary.
Electrolyte preparation
Dissolve analytical pure potassium hydroxide (KOH) in proportion (e.g. 150 grams KOH+500ml distilled water), stir thoroughly until cooled, and set aside for later use.
Open the outer cover of the storage tank, remove the inner cover (for transportation only), pour the electrolyte into the storage tank, and replenish distilled water to the level mark.
4、 Gas path connection and sealing testing
Selection of gas pipeline
Use stainless steel or fluoroplastic pipes with an outer diameter of Φ 3 to connect the equipment outlet to the gas consuming equipment (such as a chromatograph).
Avoid using materials that are prone to corrosion or generate static electricity to prevent hydrogen pollution or explosion.
Sealing integrity test
After the connection is completed, seal the air outlet with a sealing cap and turn on the power to observe whether the pressure gauge steadily rises to the set value (such as 0.4MPa).
Apply soap solution to the connection and check for any air leaks. If there is a leak, the joint needs to be re tightened or the seal needs to be replaced.
5、 Equipment debugging and operation
Self inspection process
After connecting the power, check if the flow display is normal (such as the SGH-300 model displaying 0-360ml/min).
Observe whether the pressure gauge reaches the set value within 5 minutes and whether the flow indication drops to "000" (indicating that the system is normal).
Run online
After passing the self inspection, remove the sealing nut of the air outlet and connect the gas equipment.
Start the device and use it after the pressure stabilizes. During operation, it is necessary to monitor whether the flow rate is consistent with the demand of the gas equipment to avoid excessive gas supply.
VIHigh purity hydrogen generatorKey points of safety and maintenance
Safety operation standards
It is strictly prohibited to operate under load when the pressure is "0" to prevent the electrolytic cell and switch power supply from burning out.
Operators need to wear anti-static clothing to avoid open flames and static sparks.
regular maintenance
Electrolyte management: Replace the electrolyte every six months and regularly replenish distilled water to the level mark.
Drying tube maintenance: Replace the molecular sieve every 3 times after changing the color changing silicone gel. When the color changing of the silicone gel exceeds 2/3, it needs to be regenerated or replaced.
Gas leak detection: Use soap solution to check the sealing of the connection every month to ensure no leakage.
emergency response
Equipped with a hydrogen leak detector and linked with an alarm system.
Develop emergency plans, including steps such as cutting off power, closing valves, and evacuating personnel.
