Most manufacturers use a fixed gas barrier at the outlet of the exhaust valve to control the flow rate of the exhaust gas. This method can control the output gas flow rate during the exhaust process. However, when the exhaust is completed and the air switches to the chromatographic gas path, the output air quickly builds up pressure in the connected pipeline, causing the output flow rate of the air generator to increase rapidly. The electrolytic separation cell quickly separates the air, resulting in a large amount of unseparated air directly entering the chromatographic system, causing damage to the chromatographic column or rapid failure of the deoxygenation tube. Some manufacturers add a needle valve before the exhaust port to limit the flow. This method can cause additional problems. When the air system switches from exhaust to normal supply, the output flow rate of the needle valve will gradually decrease as the column head pressure of the chromatograph gradually rises and stabilizes. If you want to obtain normal flow, you need to adjust the needle valve diameter again, which will contaminate the stable high-purity air system again. To achieve high-purity and stable air, in addition to overcoming the above problems, it is also necessary to overcome the blockage and reflux phenomenon of the electrolytic separation cell.
