Henan Biological MicroscopeIt is a key precision optical instrument in scientific research institutions, universities, and biological laboratories. Scientific and meticulous maintenance of key components is crucial to ensure clear imaging, stable performance, and extended service life. The following provides a practical maintenance guide for key microscope components based on the climate characteristics of Henan region.
1、 Optical components:
The optical system is the core of a microscope, mainly including the objective lens, eyepiece, condenser lens, and light source.
Cleaning method: Use specialized lens cleaning paper and lens cleaning solution. Do not use regular paper towels or fingers to wipe. When cleaning, drop a small amount of cleaning solution onto the lens wiping paper and gently wipe it in a spiral pattern from the center of the lens outward to avoid scratching the coating.
Objective maintenance: After using the oil lens, it is necessary to immediately dip a small amount of xylene or specialized lens oil cleaner with lens cleaning paper to remove the cedarwood oil and prevent oil stains from drying and damaging the lens. The front end of the high-power objective lens is prone to specimen residue and should be checked and cleaned after each use.
Moisture and mold prevention: In summer, when the humidity is high, microscopes should be stored in a drying oven or cabinet equipped with moisture-proof agents for a long time to prevent mold growth in optical components. During the dry winter season, it is also necessary to avoid dust intrusion.
2、 Mechanical components:
The mechanical system includes focusing devices, stages, converters, etc., which directly affect the operating feel and accuracy.
Focusing mechanism: The coarse/fine focus handwheel should rotate gently to avoid rapid and forceful twisting that may cause gear wear or sliding. If looseness or slippage is found, professional personnel should be contacted in a timely manner for calibration, and do not disassemble it by yourself.
Stage and converter: When moving the stage, the movement should be stable to prevent the specimen from hitting the objective lens. When converting the objective lens, hold the edge of the converter and rotate it. Do not directly pull the objective lens to avoid optical axis deviation or lens looseness.
Regular maintenance: It is recommended to have professional personnel inspect mechanical components every six months and clean and lubricate them if necessary to ensure smooth operation.
3、 Light source and electrical system: safe use, timely replacement
Light bulb maintenance: Turn off the light source in a timely manner after use to avoid prolonged lighting that may cause aging of the light bulb and overheating of the spotlight. When replacing the light bulb, turn off the power and wait for it to cool down before operation. Avoid direct contact with the bulb glass with your fingers.
Power management: Use a regulated power supply to prevent voltage fluctuations from damaging the circuit. Regularly check for any damage to the power cord.
Henan Biological MicroscopeAccurate imaging originates from the good condition of each component. Experimental personnel should develop good habits of "handling with care, cleaning after use, and regular inspection". By scientifically maintaining key components, not only can the accuracy of experimental observations be ensured, but the value of instrument use can also be maximized, providing reliable support for life science research.
