Basic structure of high-temperature calcination furnace
Date: 2025-09-26Read: 1
High temperature calcination furnaceIt is a thermal equipment widely used in industrial production, mainly used for high-temperature calcination treatment of solid materials to cause physical and chemical changes to meet different process requirements.
High temperature calcination furnaceIt usually consists of the following core components:
Furnace body: The furnace body is the core part of the calcination furnace, generally composed of refractory materials (such as alumina, silicon carbide, mullite, etc.) and insulation layers (such as ceramic fibers, aluminum silicate cotton). Refractory materials are used to withstand high temperatures, while insulation layers reduce heat loss and improve thermal efficiency.
Heating system: The heating system provides the high-temperature environment required for calcination, and common heating methods include:
Resistance heating: using silicon carbide rods, molybdenum wires, tungsten wires, etc. as heating elements, suitable for the temperature range of 1000 ° C to 1800 ° C.
Induction heating: using the principle of electromagnetic induction to heat conductive materials, suitable for rapid heating of metals or conductive materials.
Gas heating: using natural gas, liquefied gas, etc. as fuel, suitable for large industrial furnaces.
Microwave heating: using microwave energy to directly heat materials, suitable for rapid sintering of certain special materials.
Temperature control system: Temperature control is a key technology for calcination furnaces, usually using PID (proportional integral derivative) control algorithm, combined with sensors such as thermocouples and infrared thermometers to achieve precise temperature control (± 1 ° C).
Atmosphere control system: Some calcination processes require specific atmospheres (such as nitrogen, hydrogen, vacuum) to prevent oxidation or promote reduction reactions. The atmosphere control system usually includes gas flow meters, vacuum pumps, pressure regulating valves, etc.
Feeding and discharging system: According to production needs, calcination furnaces can be divided into intermittent and continuous types. Intermittent calcination furnaces use manual or mechanical arm loading and unloading of materials; Continuous calcination furnaces use conveyor belts, spiral feeders, or rotary kilns to achieve continuous production.
