Preventive measures for faults of specific heat capacity detector
Date: 2025-12-18Read: 1

The core of fault prevention for specific heat capacity detectors lies in establishing a closed loop around the four dimensions of "environmental control, standardized operation, regular maintenance, and status monitoring", avoiding common problems such as heat loss, sensor drift, and circuit faults from the source, and ensuring long-term stable operation of the equipment.

Environmental control is a fundamental preventive measure. The laboratory needs to strictly maintain a constant temperature of 23 ± 2 ℃ and a relative humidity of 50 ± 5% to avoid drastic fluctuations in temperature and humidity that may affect insulation performance and sensor accuracy; At the same time, stay away from dust and strong electromagnetic interference sources, and reserve more than 30cm of heat dissipation space around the equipment to prevent overheating and malfunction of the constant temperature module. The sample needs to be equilibrated in this environment for 12 hours before testing to reduce testing deviation and equipment load caused by temperature differences.

Standardized operation is the key to avoiding human errors. The preparation of the sample must comply with the standards, with a smooth surface without impurities, precise dimensions, and avoid sharp edges and corners scratching the inner wall of the calorimeter or sensor probe; During installation, handle with care to ensure a tight fit with the heating module without squeezing, in order to prevent poor contact from causing abnormal heat flow. The parameter settings must strictly match the characteristics of the sample, and it is prohibited to set the heating power beyond the rangeBefore starting the equipment, it is necessary to check the parameters for accuracy to avoid circuit overload.

Regular maintenance is the core of preventing hidden faults. Clean the inner wall of the calorimeter, the surface of the heating module, and the sensor probe every month, remove residual sample debris with a dry soft cloth, and strictly prohibit the use of corrosive cleaning agents; Verify the accuracy of temperature sensors with standard resistors every quarter, and validate the accuracy of heat metering modules with standard aluminum blocks. If the deviation exceeds the allowable range, calibrate immediately. The circuit system needs to be checked every six months by cutting off power, cleaning the dust in the control cabinet, tightening the wiring terminals, and avoiding loose oxidation that may cause poor contact.

Status monitoring should be implemented throughout the entire usage process. During testing, observe the stability of temperature curves and heat data in real time. If there are abnormal fluctuations, stop the machine in a timely manner for troubleshooting to avoid the expansion of the fault; When the equipment is idle, it runs for 30 minutes without load every month to prevent the circuit from getting damp and the components from aging; Establish equipment operation files to record each usage parameter, environmental conditions, and maintenance status, in order to trace potential fault hazards.

In addition, it is necessary to avoid long-term overload operation of the equipment, with no more than 8 consecutive tests per day, and a 15 minute heat dissipation time reserved for each test interval; Non professionals are strictly prohibited from disassembling core components. Calibration and maintenance must be carried out by professional technicians to fundamentally reduce the risk of failure.
