In modern agriculture, ecological research, and climate monitoring, accumulated temperature is a key indicator for measuring crop growth cycles, predicting phenological periods, and evaluating regional climate suitability. The accumulated temperature recorder can automatically record and accumulate effective temperature data, providing reliable basis for scientific planting and environmental analysis. Inside its compact body, there are multiple precision components that work together. Only by deeply analyzing the composition and functional characteristics of the accumulated temperature recorder can it be better used.

1. High precision temperature sensor
Temperature sensors typically use high stability NTC thermistors or digital temperature chips (such as DS18B20). Its core features are fast response speed, wide temperature measurement range (-40 ℃~+80 ℃), high accuracy (up to ± 0.5 ℃), and the ability to capture subtle changes in environmental temperature in real time, ensuring the authenticity and reliability of data collection.
2. Microprocessor unit
The built-in low-power microcontroller is responsible for data processing and logic control. It calculates the daily effective accumulated temperature (usually in ℃ · d) based on preset algorithms such as daily average method, trigonometric method, or slope method, and automatically accumulates it. Users can set the biological zero temperature (such as 5 ℃, 10 ℃), and only accumulate temperatures above this threshold to achieve scientific and customized accumulated temperature statistics.
3. Data storage module
Using non-volatile storage chips, temperature and accumulated temperature data can be stored for months or even years. Even if there is a power outage, data will not be lost. Some models support cyclic storage or event triggered recording to meet different monitoring cycle requirements.
4. Real time clock (RTC) module
Integrate high-precision RTC chips to ensure that each temperature record has an accurate timestamp (year, month, day, hour, minute). This is the foundation for achieving long-term trend analysis and phenological comparison, enabling the "temperature ledger" to have a spatiotemporal dimension.
5. Power system
Usually powered by high-capacity lithium batteries or replaceable alkaline batteries, it supports continuous operation for several months or more. Low power design combined with automatic sleep function reduces energy consumption and extends service life during non sampling periods. Some outdoor models are also equipped with solar charging modules for sustainable monitoring.
6. Shell and protective structure
Adopting waterproof, dustproof, and UV resistant engineering plastic casing (IP67 rating or above), it can be exposed to complex environments such as fields, forests, or greenhouses for a long time. The sealed design effectively prevents rainwater, dust, and insect infestations from entering, ensuring the safety of internal circuits.
7. Data interface and communication module
Equipped with USB, RS485, or wireless (such as LoRa, Bluetooth) interfaces, it is easy to export data to a computer or upload it to a cloud platform. The supporting software can generate accumulated temperature curve graphs, reports, and warning prompts, enhancing the value of data application.
