Disease screening and component analysis of seed cleanliness workbench
Date: 2025-05-12Read: 0
The seed cleanliness workbench, as the core equipment for seed quality testing, plays a crucial role in disease screening and component analysis. By integrating optical transmission, reflection, and amplification technologies, combined with an electronic control system, the workbench can achieve non-destructive observation and precise analysis of seed samples.
In terms of disease screening, the workbench can be used in conjunction with high-resolution microscopy imaging systems to conduct detailed observations of the surface and interior of seeds. For example, using a polarized light device to filter out background light interference can clearly identify disease characteristics such as mold spots, insect holes, and sclerotia on the surface of seeds. For lightly soaked seeds (such as Poa pratensis), they can be pre treated with a wind sorter to remove light impurities such as husks and aborted small flowers, and then screened for diseases through a workbench to ensure detection accuracy.
In terms of component analysis, the workbench supports sorting and quantification of seed samples. By using electrically adjustable dark field transmission lighting, it is possible to clearly distinguish three types of components: net seeds, other plant seeds, and impurities, and determine their weight percentages. For example, in the analysis of grass seed purity, samples can be divided into net seeds, weed seeds, and non living impurities according to the GB/T3543 standard, providing data support for seed quality assessment. In addition, the workbench can also be used in conjunction with hyperspectral imaging technology to perform spectral analysis of bioactive components (such as alkaloids and flavonoids) in seeds, assisting in the determination of seed quality.
The seed purity workbench, with its dual functions of disease screening and component analysis, not only improves the efficiency and accuracy of seed quality testing, but also provides scientific basis for seed storage, processing, and agricultural production. It is a tool for modern agricultural seed quality control.
