Cold light source and non-destructive observation: optical technology innovation of seed cleanliness workbench
Date: 2025-06-05Read: 0
In the field of seed quality inspection, the innovation of optical technology is driving the development of seed cleanliness workbenches towards high precision and non-destructive direction. The combination of cold light sources and non-destructive observation technology has become the core driving force of this transformation.
Traditional light sources generate a large amount of heat, which can easily cause thermal damage to samples such as seeds and seedlings, affecting the accuracy of detection results. The new generation seed cleanliness workbench uses high brightness and low-energy cold light sources (such as LED white light or polarized light), which emit soft and uniform light, effectively avoiding the damage of thermal effects on the sample. For example, the DSX workbench produced by Hangzhou Lvbo Instrument has an ultra-thin light guide plate cold light source that can filter out background interference. With the transmission lighting function, it can clearly observe the surface particles, colonies, or pathological characteristics of seeds, and is even suitable for high-quality photo shooting, meeting the dual needs of scientific research and quality inspection.
The breakthrough of non-destructive observation technology has further improved the efficiency of detection. Through the use of a flexible arm style stretching design lighting and magnification device (with a magnification of up to 0-7 times), users can freely adjust the angle and magnification of the light source, achieving multi angle and high-definition sample observation. For example, the TJD-1300A workbench combined with a polarized light anti glare transmission platform can electrically adjust the dark field environment to ensure high accuracy in impurity identification and seed grading. In addition, some models also support independent control of white light, polarized light, and magnifying glass lights. Users can flexibly combine light source modes according to their needs to adapt to the detection needs of different crop seeds.
The collaborative application of cold light sources and non-destructive observation technology not only extends the storage period of seed samples, but also significantly improves detection efficiency and data reliability. In the future, with the integration of machine vision and spectral analysis technology, the seed cleanliness workbench is expected to achieve automatic classification of impurities and prediction of seed vitality, providing a more intelligent solution for agricultural breeding and quality control.
