The roller spacing of the roller mixer directly determines the container size range it can accommodate. The smaller the spacing, the thinner the container, and the larger the spacing, the thicker the container. This question is very accurate. The roller spacing is the core parameter when choosing a mixer, which directly affects whether the experiment can proceed smoothly. one Core impact: The influence of the distance between the upper and lower limit rollers on the container's capacity is mainly reflected in two aspects, namely the minimum and maximum diameters of the container that can be accommodated. -Upper limit: The maximum diameter of the container that can be accommodated must be smaller than the diameter of the container, otherwise the container will fall between the two rollers. For example, an instrument with a spacing of 30mm can only accommodate test tubes or centrifuge tubes with a diameter slightly larger than 30mm. -Lower limit: The minimum stable mixing container diameter. The container diameter cannot be much smaller than the roller spacing, otherwise the container will shake on the roller and cannot stably fit and roll, resulting in poor mixing effect. It is usually recommended that the diameter of the container be no less than half of the distance between the rollers. 2. Typical adaptation scenarios with different spacing: Instruments with different roller spacing have clear distinctions in their applicable experimental scenarios and container types. |Roller spacing range (mm) | Suitable container type | Typical experimental scenario | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Precautions in actual use 1 When prioritizing the selection of instruments for matching core containers, first determine the experimental conditionsmainChoose a container diameter with a spacing slightly smaller than this diameter to ensure compatibility and mixing effect. 2. To avoid the misconception of "compatibility with all", no mixer can adapt to all sizes of containers. If you need to handle multiple specifications, you can choose a model with adjustable spacing function, or prepare multiple instruments with different spacing. 3. Consider the wall thickness of the container (such as glass reagent bottles), which should be included in the total diameter to avoid being unable to fit due to insufficient spacing. The external dimensions of the two wide roller mixer in the video are 560 * 290 * 100mm, but due to different roller layouts and spacing, it can be seen that TR6 has significantly better capacity than the MTR2D with the same 6-axis, with an additional position for bottle rolling.
So when choosing a model, it is important to pay attention to the number of rollers and, more importantly, the roller spacing.
