What are the details of using the smoke and dust direct reading instrument
Date: 2025-11-21Read: 0
The following are the usage details of the smoke and dust direct reading instrument:
1、 Preparation before use
1. Instrument inspection: Carefully check whether the instrument has sufficient power, whether the connections of various components are firm, whether the sampling probe is blocked, etc., to ensure that the instrument can operate normally.
2. Parameter setting: Based on the specific monitoring requirements, accurately set key parameters such as sampling time and sampling flow rate to prepare for subsequent sampling work.
3. On site investigation: Taking into account factors such as the structure and airflow distribution of the flue, select representative and interference free sampling points to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the collected smoke and dust samples.
2、 Sampling operation process
1. Power on preheating: After turning on the power of the smoke and dust direct reading instrument, patiently wait for it to preheat until the instrument reaches a stable state. Generally, it takes about 15-30 minutes before continuing with the next step of operation.
2. Install filter membrane: Carefully install a clean and undamaged filter membrane on the sampling head, and repeatedly confirm that it is firmly installed to prevent air leakage and avoid affecting the accuracy of the sampling results.
3. Start sampling: Slowly insert the sampling probe into the designated position of the flue, then start the sampling pump to officially start collecting smoke and dust samples, ensuring that the probe position remains stable throughout the entire process.
4. Real time monitoring: During the sampling period, the changes in smoke and dust concentration can be observed in real time through the instrument display screen, and relevant data can be carefully recorded for subsequent analysis and research.
3、 Data processing methods
1. End sampling: When the pre-set sampling time is reached, stop the sampling pump in a timely manner and remove the sampling probe from the flue.
2. Filter membrane weighing: Take down the sampled filter membrane and weigh it using a professional precision balance, accurate to 0.1mg, to calculate the mass of smoke and dust.
3. Data calculation: Based on important parameters such as recorded sampling volume and smoke mass, use scientific methods to calculate the final smoke concentration.
4. Generate report: Systematically organize and analyze all the data obtained from this monitoring, generate detailed reports, and provide strong scientific basis for environmental decision-making.
4、 Precautions
1. Personnel protection: During the entire operation process, it is necessary to require the staff to wear complete protective equipment to prevent inhaling smoke and dust, which may cause damage to the body.
2. Instrument cleaning and maintenance: After the sampling is completed, the sampling probe and filter membrane should be cleaned immediately to avoid residual smoke and dust that may cause blockage and affect the performance of the instrument for the next use. At the same time, it is necessary to regularly calibrate and maintain the smoke and dust direct reading instrument comprehensively to ensure the accuracy and correctness of monitoring data.
Only by proficiently mastering and strictly following these usage details to operate the smoke detector can it fully play its important role in monitoring smoke emissions and better protect our environment.
