Online flue gas monitoring devices can monitor real-time changes in pollutant concentration in flue gas
Date: 2025-10-19Read: 0
Online smoke monitoring device is an instrument used for real-time monitoring of pollutant content in smoke. It continuously detects the concentration of major pollutants in flue gas, such as sulfur dioxide (SO ₂), nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), particulate matter (PM), etc., through a series of sensors and analysis devices, and transmits the data in real time to the monitoring system to help enterprises and government departments regulate and control pollution sources.

  Online smoke monitoring deviceWorking principle:
1. Infrared absorption method
This method utilizes the absorption characteristics of infrared light, where different gases absorb infrared light within a specific wavelength range. The concentration of gases in the flue gas is calculated by measuring their infrared absorption intensity. Suitable for detecting gases such as sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide.
2. Electrochemical method
Electrochemical sensors generate current by reacting gas molecules with electrodes, and the magnitude of the current is proportional to the gas concentration. This method is commonly used to measure gases such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides.
3. Light scattering method
This technology utilizes the scattering effect of particulate matter on light in flue gas, and the intensity of scattered light is related to the concentration of particulate matter. By measuring the scattering intensity of light, the concentration of particulate matter in the flue gas can be calculated.
4. Laser method
Lidar technology can accurately measure gas molecules in flue gas. When a laser passes through a gas, some of the light is absorbed or scattered by the gas, and changes in laser reflectivity and intensity can help monitoring instruments analyze gas composition.
Main functions:
1. Real time monitoring
Capable of real-time monitoring of changes in pollutant concentration in flue gas, ensuring timely detection of abnormal situations and taking corresponding measures.
2. Data recording and storage
The system is capable of continuously recording monitoring data and saving it to a database, facilitating later analysis, evaluation, and report generation for enterprises.
3. Remote transmission and alarm function
Usually equipped with remote data transmission function, data can be transmitted to the control center or regulatory department. If there is excessive emission, the instrument will automatically send an alarm signal to prompt the operator or relevant department to handle it in a timely manner.
4. Automatic calibration and self diagnosis
To ensure the accuracy of monitoring data, it usually has an automatic calibration function and regularly calibrates the sensors. At the same time, the instrument will also perform self diagnosis, promptly detect faults and report them, ensuring its long-term stable operation.
5. Meet environmental standards
Compliant with environmental standards of various countries, able to accurately detect and report pollutant emissions, helping enterprises ensure compliance with emission regulations.
Application areas of online smoke monitoring devices:
1. Power industry
The power industry is one of the main sources of flue gas emissions, especially coal-fired power plants. Real time monitoring of pollutant emissions during the combustion process to ensure compliance with national and local environmental policies.
2. Steel industry
During the steel production process, a large amount of flue gas and harmful gases are generated, which can effectively monitor pollutants such as sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides in the flue gas, helping steel enterprises reduce emissions and improve environmental protection levels.
3. Cement industry
During the cement production process, a large amount of flue gas pollution is generated due to the high-temperature calcination of raw materials. It can help cement plants monitor gas emissions in real time, avoid excessive emissions, and reduce the impact on the environment.
4. Chemical industry
The chemical production process involves a large number of chemical reactions, producing a variety of types of flue gas that can provide accurate pollutant data, ensuring the production environment and public health.
5. Environmental monitoring
It can also be widely used by governments and environmental protection departments to monitor the emissions of key polluting enterprises in real time, ensuring the implementation of emission standards.
