The illumination intensity of xenon lamps can reach 3200 lumens, which is more than three times that of ordinary halogen lamps (about 1000 lumens). The illumination range is wider and more uniform, which can reduce the visual blind spots of night driving. The efficiency of converting electrical energy into light energy is more than 70% higher than that of halogen lamps. For example, xenon headlights used in cars have a power of only 35W, but can provide brightness equivalent to 60W halogen lamps, reducing the burden on the vehicle's power system while lowering energy consumption.
Due to its non filament structure, xenon lamps avoid the problem of tungsten wire melting and have a lifespan of up to 2000-3000 hours, exceeding the typical lifespan of automobiles, reducing replacement frequency and maintenance costs. The color temperature is close to daylight (about 6000K), and the human eye has a high acceptance, which can reduce the fatigue of night driving. At the same time, its blue and white light can improve the recognition of road signs and directional signs, enhancing driving safety.
Although some models require the use of stabilizers, modern xenon lamps have achieved millisecond level instantaneous start-up and stable discharge processes, avoiding frequent flickering and eye irritation. Xenon gas has better fog permeability and uniformity than traditional light sources (such as high-pressure sodium lamps), especially suitable for rainy and foggy weather and complex road conditions. The design of the UV resistant quartz glass tube and aluminum alloy sealed lamp body further enhances durability and protection level.
Steps for using xenon lamp:
-Sample preparation: Place the product sample to be tested into a xenon lamp aging test chamber.
-Equipment inspection and setting: Ensure the normal operation of the xenon lamp aging test chamber, set the test conditions according to relevant standards or actual needs, such as light intensity, temperature, humidity, rainfall cycle and other parameters. For example, the common blackboard temperature is set to 65 ℃± 3 ℃, the box temperature is set to 45 ℃± 2 ℃, and the humidity is set to 50RH ± 5RH.
-Start up test: Start the xenon lamp aging test chamber and conduct aging tests that simulate natural climate conditions such as lighting, temperature and humidity control. Keep the sample under the set conditions for a period of time, usually ranging from several days to several weeks.
-Data recording: During the experiment, regularly record various environmental data inside the test chamber, including temperature, humidity, light intensity, and other information, for subsequent analysis and evaluation.
-Sample inspection and analysis: After the experiment is completed, the sample is taken out for visual inspection, performance testing, etc., to observe whether there are aging phenomena such as discoloration, fading, cracking, and peeling. Based on the pre-set evaluation indicators and methods, the aging degree of the sample is analyzed and evaluated.
