What methods can be used to solve the malfunction of the walk-in environmental testing chamber
Date: 2025-12-09Read: 0
Walk in environmental test chambers (such as constant temperature and humidity test chambers, high and low temperature test chambers) are key equipment for simulating special environmental conditions, and their failures can directly affect the accuracy of test results. The following is an introduction to common fault causes and solutions:
1、 Power and control system malfunction
-The device cannot start
-Power issue: Check if the main power switch and circuit breaker have tripped, and confirm that the socket is supplying power normally. If not used for a long time, it is necessary to investigate the aging or poor contact of the circuit.
-Control board malfunction: If the power supply is normal but still unable to start, it may be due to internal circuit damage or control board malfunction, and the manufacturer needs to be contacted for maintenance.
-Control system malfunction
-Software malfunction: Try restarting the system or updating the control software.
-Hardware malfunction: Check if the controller interface is loose. If it still cannot be resolved, replace the control instrument.
2、 Abnormal temperature and humidity control
-The temperature cannot reach the set value
-Heating system malfunction: Check if the heater element is damaged and if the temperature control instrument parameter settings are correct.
-Wind circulation issue: If the temperature rises slowly, it is necessary to check whether the wind circulation motor is running normally and whether the adjustment baffle is opening smoothly.
-Sensor error: Damage or calibration deviation of the temperature sensor can cause temperature control misalignment, requiring recalibration or replacement of the sensor.
-Humidity control failure
-Abnormal humidification system: Check the water level in the water tank and whether the water supply pipeline is blocked, and clean the scale inside the humidification boiler.
-Sensor and gauze issue: The gauze of the wet bulb sensor needs to be replaced or cleaned due to poor water quality or long-term use that has hardened; Check if the water level controller is working properly when the sink is short of water.
3、 Mechanical and refrigeration system malfunction
-Compressor overcurrent protection
-Poor heat dissipation: Clean the condenser dust to ensure the normal operation of the compressor cooling fan.
-Refrigerant leakage: Professional personnel should detect the pressure of the refrigeration system and supplement or replace the refrigerant.
-The equipment operates with loud noise
-Loose components: Tighten the fan and compressor connectors and clean the dust accumulation on the fan blades.
-Mechanical wear: lubricate moving parts. If internal parts of the compressor are damaged, professional repairs are required.
4、 Structural and sealing issues
-Box leakage
-Blockage of drainage pipe: unclog the drainage outlet and check if the water pump is damaged.
-Aging of sealing strip: Replace the sealing strip of the door body to avoid moisture infiltration and humidity fluctuations.
-Decreased insulation performance
-Damaged insulation material: Repair the insulation material in the interlayer of the box to ensure that the thickness of the color steel plate meets the standard (≥ 50mm) to reduce heat exchange.
5、 Daily maintenance and preventive measures
-Regular maintenance
-Clean the condenser, fan, and humidifier monthly, and calibrate the temperature and humidity sensors quarterly.
-Check whether the electrical connection points are oxidized and replace the aging circuits in a timely manner.
-Operating standards
-Avoid excessive accumulation of samples that hinder air circulation, and dry the workshop for moisture before testing.
-Use purified or distilled water to reduce the risk of scaling in waterways.
The malfunction of the walk-in environmental testing chamber needs to be analyzed based on specific phenomena to identify the root cause. For example, temperature overshoot may be caused by PID parameter imbalance, while continuous low humidity requires priority inspection of the humidification system rather than blindly adjusting sensors. Establishing a preventive maintenance plan can significantly reduce failure rates and extend equipment lifespan.
