Internal maintenance standards for walk-in constant temperature and humidity chambers
Date: 2025-11-12Read: 0
The internal maintenance of the walk-in constant temperature and humidity chamber needs to be combined with systematic maintenance and refined operation to ensure long-term stable operation of the equipment and ensure the accuracy of experimental data. The following will elaborate on the maintenance of core components, water system maintenance, sensor calibration, and other aspects:
1、 Core component cleaning and maintenance
Air filtration system
Air filters are crucial for maintaining indoor cleanliness, and it is recommended to replace them every 3 months. If there is a lot of dust in the environment (such as in an electronic component testing workshop), it is necessary to shorten the inspection and cleaning or replacement to monthly.
When cleaning, turn off the power supply of the equipment, remove the filter and blow it back with compressed air or soak it in neutral cleaning agent for cleaning. After drying, install it.
Condenser and evaporator
The condenser cooling fins should be dusted at least once a month to prevent dust accumulation from causing a decrease in heat dissipation efficiency and even triggering overheating protection. Soft bristled brushes or specialized dust guns can be used to clean the accumulated dust in the gaps.
The evaporator needs to be thoroughly cleaned every quarter, using professional cleaning agents to remove scale and biofilm, in order to avoid affecting the dehumidification effect.
Humidification and dehumidification system
The humidification bucket should be replaced with purified water and cleaned every month to prevent scale from blocking the pipeline; Clean the waterway with citric acid solution every 3 months to remove mineral deposits.
The dehumidification system needs to regularly check whether the condensate drainage pipe is unobstructed, to avoid the accumulation of water that can breed bacteria or cause short circuits.
2、 Key points for maintenance of waterway system
Water quality management
Deionized water or purified water must be used as the humidification water source to avoid impurities in tap water accelerating pipeline corrosion and sensor scaling.
Clean the water tank once a week, empty the remaining water, and wipe the inner wall with 75% alcohol to reduce the risk of microbial contamination.
Drainage system inspection
Daily inspection of drainage valves and pipeline connections for leaks, manual dredging of drainage pipes every month to prevent foreign objects from blocking and causing abnormal water levels.
Before long-term shutdown, it is necessary to drain the water in the waterway and inject rust inhibitor to protect metal parts.
3、 Sensor calibration and debugging
Temperature and humidity sensor
Use standard measuring instruments to calibrate sensors every month. If the deviation exceeds ± 1 ℃ or ± 5% RH, recalibration is required. During the calibration process, historical data should be recorded to form a trend analysis report.
The sensor probe should be disassembled and inspected every six months, with the surface oxide layer cleaned and the wiring terminals checked for looseness.
Pressure and flow sensors
Verify the pressure sensor of the refrigeration system every quarter to ensure that the high/low pressure values are within the design range; The flowmeter shall have its calibration certificate replaced once a year to ensure that the wind speed uniformity meets the GB/T 10586-2006 standard.
4、 Sealing and Electrical System Maintenance
Door seal and observation window
Check the silicone door seal for cracks or deformation every week, and replace it immediately if it is damaged; Apply silicone grease on the surface of the sealing strip every year to delay aging and cracking.
The observation window glass adopts a double-layer vacuum design. If there is fog, it is necessary to check whether the internal and external pressure difference exceeds the standard.
Electrical safety testing
Check the insulation layer of the power cord every month for damage and ensure that the grounding resistance is ≤ 4 Ω; Test the response time of the leakage protection device every six months.
The controller motherboard undergoes firmware upgrades every two years to optimize the PID temperature control algorithm and fix potential software vulnerabilities.
5、 Special scenario maintenance strategy
Dealing with corrosive environments
After testing samples containing acidic and alkaline gases, immediately wipe the inner wall with pH neutral cleaning agent and place an activated carbon filter in the workshop to adsorb residual pollutants.
Metal components (such as brackets and rails) should be coated with anti-corrosion coatings every quarter, and the salt spray test level should meet the ISO 9227 standard.
High frequency usage optimization
During continuous operation, a 4-hour 'cooling off period' is arranged every week, and the maintenance door is opened to promote air circulation and reduce motor load.
Establish a preventive maintenance plan, replace bearing lubricating oil after the equipment has been running for 8000 hours, and dynamically adjust the tension of the transmission belt.
The internal maintenance of the walk-in constant temperature and humidity chamber should follow a "three-level maintenance system": daily basic cleaning (daily/weekly), periodic deep maintenance (monthly/quarterly/annual), and special protection for working conditions. By combining structured maintenance processes with digital monitoring methods, equipment failure rates can be reduced by over 60%, while extending their lifespan to over 15 years.
