Recently, the joint event organized by Funa Scientific Instruments (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Southwest University Sub measurement Center came to a successful conclusion.

The Southwest University Analysis and Testing Center (referred to as the Center) was established in September 2018. It is a university level public testing platform for large-scale instruments and equipment open to the whole school and society. It provides services for scientific research, discipline construction, and talent cultivation of the university, as well as technical consulting and testing services for the society. The center is equipped with chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis platform, spectral analysis platform, surface and performance analysis platform, optical microscope imaging platform, molecular biology detection platform, spectral analysis platform, energy spectrum analysis platform, and electron microscopy imaging platform. The analysis and detection scope covers multiple disciplines such as physics, chemistry, biology, materials, pharmacy, environment, and agriculture. The center is currently located in the Pharmacy and Chemical Engineering Laboratory Building, with a building area of approximately 4000 square meters. It has been built into a modern, standardized, and regulated laboratory.
This event attracted a wide range of teachers and students from multiple colleges on campus, including the School of Resources and Environment, the School of Materials and Energy, the School of Food Science, the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the School of Pharmacy, the School of Veterinary Medicine, the School of Animal Science, the School of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, the School of Agriculture and Biotechnology, the School of Plant Protection, the School of Physical Science and Technology, and the Institute of Science and Technology Development. It provided a platform for in-depth communication and practical operation for researchers and students in different disciplines on campus.
01 Microscopic Technology Exchange Conference
During the event, engineers from Feina Electron Microscopy conducted a "Microscopic Analysis and Sample Preparation Technology Exchange Meeting" at the Southwest University Measurement Center, during which case studies were shared on scanning electron microscopy, micro CT, ion milling technology, and in-situ TEM technology. The widespread application of these technologies in fields such as materials science, biomedicine, and nanotechnology has brought new perspectives and inspirations to the attendees.

02 Feina Electron Microscope Free Sample Testing Activity
From June 4 to June 6, 2025, the free sample testing activity of Feina Electron Microscope was officially started. During the three-day sample testing activity, teachers and students actively participated in the activity. With their own samples, such as microorganisms (bacteria, fungi), plants, insects, composite materials, MOF materials, perovskite materials, gel materials, drugs, food, etc., Feina Electron Microscope showed excellent performance. The Feina desktop scanning electron microscope has received high praise from teachers and students for its convenient operation process and fast high-quality image output.

Especially for gel materials, water containing samples cannot be directly put into the scanning electron microscope for observation. The Feina electron microscope provides a cold platform scheme, which can directly observe the samples after freezing, solving the problems of many teachers and students in testing.

During the sample testing period, the application engineer of Feina Electron Microscope patiently answered the questions encountered by teachers and students during the operation process, and shared rich practical experience and sample preparation skills.

The successful holding of this exchange meeting on microscopic analysis and sample preparation technology, as well as the free sample testing week event for the Feina electron microscope, has brought valuable practical experience and technical inspiration to the teachers and students of Southwest University. The event also promoted the widespread dissemination of desktop electron microscopy technology on the campus of Southwest University, strengthened deep communication and collaboration between different disciplines, and provided strong technical support and opportunities for interdisciplinary research. We look forward to the inspiration and technological seeds inspired by these activities growing strong in the vibrant research soil of Southwest University, blooming more innovative flowers in the future, and bearing fruitful research and teaching achievements.
In the future, Funa Technology will continue to maintain close cooperation with Southwest University, organize more similar activities, provide high-quality technical exchange and practical platforms for teachers and students, help Southwest University achieve more innovative results in the field of micro analysis, and promote the continuous improvement of the university's scientific research level.
Welcome everyone to continue paying attention to the exhibition and free sample testing activities of Feina Electron Microscopy on campus. This series of activities is free. If your school is also interested in conducting free trial and testing of Feina Electron Microscopy, please submit an intention form. After evaluation, we will do our best to coordinate and arrange. Thank you for your support!
