Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute is a research and design institute mainly focused on nuclear power engineering research and design. It is at the domestic level in the field of nuclear power engineering research and design, and has made substantial progress and achievements in AP1000 digestion and absorption, CAP1000 standard design, CAP1400 research and development and testing, nuclear power main equipment and key material development, etc. Shanghai Automation Instrument Co., Ltd. has a long-term and good cooperation foundation with Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Institute. There are business and technical exchanges from Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant, Pakistan Chashma Nuclear Power Plant to the construction of third-generation nuclear power.

At the signing ceremony, Dean Zheng Mingguang of Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Institute stated that they will take advantage of the opportunity of the nuclear power simulator project to establish a stronger cooperative relationship and lay a solid foundation for technical cooperation between the two sides.

Shanghai Automation Instrument Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Institute have agreed on a batch of localization cooperation projects for instrument control devices of CAP1000 and CAP1400. Shanghai Automation Instrument Co., Ltd. stated that the signing of the nuclear power simulator project means that Shanghai Automation Instrument Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Institute will establish closer cooperation. It is hoped that Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Institute will provide more guidance on the localization of instrumentation and control equipment for Shanghai Longgang Automation Instrument Co., Ltd. in the process of digesting and absorbing AP1000 technology, laying a foundation for future technological updates of nuclear power equipment such as CAP1000 and CAP1400, and for cooperation between the two units in related technical fields.
