Electromagnetic FlowmeterThe correct selection of electromagnetic flowmeter is a prerequisite for ensuring the good use of electromagnetic flowmeter. The selection of the type of electromagnetic flowmeter should be based on the physical and chemical properties of the measured fluid medium, so that the diameter, flow range, lining material, electrode material, and output current of the electromagnetic flowmeter can adapt to the properties and flow requirements of the measured fluid.
Measurable fluid: composed ofWorking principle of electromagnetic flowmeterIt is known that the fluid that can be measured with an electromagnetic flowmeter must be conductive. Strictly speaking, except for high-temperature fluids, any fluid with a conductivity greater than 5 μ/cm should be measured with the corresponding electromagnetic flowmeter. Therefore, non-conductive gases, steam, oils, acetone and other substances cannot be measured with an electromagnetic flowmeter. Determination of sensor diameter: The flow meter can be used with a flow rate in the range of 0.3-15m/s, and the diameter of the flow meter can be selected to be consistent with the diameter of the user's pipeline. When the flow rate is lower than 0.3m/s, locally increase the flow rate at the instrument location and use a reduction method: when the central cone angle of the reducer is not greater than 15oC, the reducer can be considered as part of the straight pipe section. Selection of integrated or separated type: Integrated type: In better on-site environments, integrated type is generally chosen, that is, the sensor and converter are assembled into one unit.
Key points for selecting electromagnetic flow meters:
Electromagnetic flow meters have a wide range of applications. Large caliber instruments are commonly used in water supply and drainage engineering, while small and medium-sized instruments are commonly used in solid-liquid two-phase difficult to measure fluids or high demand places, such as measuring pulp and black liquor in the paper industry, slurry in the non-ferrous metallurgy industry, coal slurry in the coal preparation plant, highly corrosive liquids in the chemical industry, and controlling and monitoring cooling water in blast furnace tuyere in the steel industry. Flow measurement and control of long-distance pipeline coal hydraulic transportation. Small caliber and micro caliber are commonly used in places with hygiene requirements such as the pharmaceutical industry, food industry, and biotechnology.
Choose the appropriate type based on the characteristics of integrated and separated electromagnetic flow meters. The installation and wiring of the integrated electromagnetic flowmeter are convenient, with moderate accuracy, and should not be installed below the ground to prevent the converter from being submerged in water. The separated electromagnetic flowmeter has a high degree of accuracy, and the converter and sensor are installed remotely, making it more suitable for situations with poor on-site environments (such as hazardous, toxic, and easily flooded places). However, the installation and wiring are strict, otherwise interference signals may be introduced
