3151GP series pressure transmitterIt is a high-precision intelligent on-site pressure parameter detection instrument, mainly used to measure the pressure parameters of various media in liquid, gas, and steam states, and convert the measured pressure parameters into 4-20mA standard electrical signals for output. At the same time, it adopts the HART protocol and has the function of communicating with the controller or upper computer. The transmitter has the function of output parameter configuration, which can adapt to the needs of different users.
When choosing a pressure transmitter, we should not only consider the price factor, but also take into account various factors. The selection of a suitable pressure transmitter requires consideration of multiple factors, usually including six aspects.
1. Accuracy level
Every electronic instrument has this accuracy error during measurement, but due to the different accuracy levels specified by each country, we choose the appropriate accuracy based on the different standards of each country to avoid errors that may affect the measurement structure.
2. Range of measurement
Normally, the maximum range measured by a sensor is 70% of its full range, which means that if we want to measure a pressure of 70 bar, we should choose a range of 100 bar for the pressure transmitter.
3. Measurement medium
If you want to measure cleaner fluids, we can simply use a standard pressure transmitter. However, if the medium you are measuring is prone to crystallization or viscosity, you need to use an external diaphragm or a chemical seal to prevent the medium from blocking the pressure measurement hole.
4. Liquid receiving material

If your medium is not corrosive to 316 stainless steel, then basically all pressure transmitters are suitable for measuring the pressure of the medium; If your medium is corrosive to 316 stainless steel, then we need to use chemical sealing. This not only measures the pressure of the medium, but also effectively prevents contact between the medium and the liquid receiving part of the pressure transmitter, thereby protecting the pressure transmitter and extending its service life.
5. Output signal
At present, due to various collection needs, there are many types of output signals for pressure transmitters on the market, mainly 4-20mA, 0-20mA, 0-10V, 0-5V, etc. However, the most commonly used are 4-20mA and 0-10V. Among the output signals I mentioned above, only 4-20mA is a two-wire system (the output we are referring to is a few wire system and does not include grounding or shielding wires), while the others are all three wire systems.
6. Medium temperature
Due to the fact that the signal of the pressure transmitter is partially converted through electronic circuits, in general, the measured medium temperature of the pressure transmitter is -30 to+100 degrees. If the temperature is too high, we usually use a condenser bend to cool the medium. This will significantly reduce the cost of manufacturers producing a high-temperature resistant pressure transmitter specifically for you.
