How to operate the ball rebound height testing machine correctly
Date: 2025-10-30Read: 0
Ball rebound height testing machineUsed for testing specialized basketball, football, volleyball, handball, tennis, etc., rising to a certain distance, letting the ball fall, and measuring its rebound height. Equipment principle: The clamping device is driven by a motor to raise the ball to a specified height, and then the ball is released by pneumatic means. The rebound height and number of times of the ball are recorded. After contacting the rebound plate, the sample rebounds. After being measured by photoelectric sensors at heights of 1100mm, 1200mm, 1300mm, 1400mm, 1500mm, and 1600mm, the initial rebound velocity is calculated by a computer, and the actual rebound height of the sample is calculated according to the law of conservation of energy.
Preparation before operation:
Environmental conditions:
The temperature should be controlled within the range of 5 ℃~40 ℃ or 23 ± 5 ℃, and the relative humidity should not exceed 85%.
Ensure that the testing environment is free of vibration and electromagnetic interference, and the ground is flat (such as cement or wooden floors).
Equipment inspection:
Check whether the buttons, switches, and indicator lights of the testing machine are normal, and confirm that the nameplate information is complete.
Calibrate the diameter, mass, and drop height of the steel ball (measure with a height caliper, repeat 3 times and take the average).
Experimental operation steps:
Place the sphere:
Place the ball on the testing mold, ensuring that it is perpendicular to the ground, and maintain a free fall state when released.
Data recording:
Record the rebound height through sensors or scales, and repeat each experiment 3 times to reduce errors.
Use slow video playback on mobile phones to assist in measurement and improve accuracy.
Calculation and analysis:
Calculate the ratio of rebound height to drop height (rebound rate) and analyze the elastic properties of the ball.
The rebound rate of the same ball should remain relatively constant, while there may be differences among different balls.
