Small single screw extruder is a widely used equipment in plastic processing, food processing, rubber product production and other fields. Using a single screw as the main power source, the material is heated, extruded, mixed, shaped, etc. by rotating the screw, ultimately forming the desired product. The core part is the screw, which is driven to rotate by a drive motor through a reducer. Usually, a screw is composed of multiple segments, and the thread shape and depth of each segment are designed according to the requirements of the material. The function of the screw is to bring the material from the feed inlet into the heating zone of the extruder, and plasticize it through the action of mechanical and thermal energy, and finally shape it through the mold.
Small single screw extruderThe working principle of the screw can be briefly summarized as follows: through the rotation of the screw, the material gradually moves from the feeding area to the extrusion area while being heated. In this process, the screw not only provides mechanical energy, but also uses thermal energy to plasticize the material. As the material is compressed, mixed, and heated, it ultimately forms the desired shape and is extruded from the mold.
Specifically, when the material enters the feeding section, it is compressed and gradually heated due to the rotation of the screw. In the heating section, the rotation of the screw gradually increases the temperature of the material, which is melted at high temperatures and has good fluidity. When entering the extrusion section, the material undergoes stronger compression and mixing, and is finally formed by the mold of the extruder head and cooled to shape.
