The core functions and technical characteristics of the R&D peptide synthesizer
Date: 2025-11-06Read: 0
Research and development peptide synthesizerIt is an automated equipment designed specifically for laboratories and research institutions, mainly used for efficient and accurate synthesis of peptide molecules, widely used in drug research and development, biological therapy, life science research, and materials science fields.
Research and development peptide synthesizerCore functions and technical features:
Automated solid-phase synthesis technology
Based on the solid-phase peptide synthesis method (SPPS) proposed by Professor Bruce Merrifield in 1963, the precise connection of amino acids is controlled by a computer program:
Amino acid fixation: The C-terminus of the first amino acid is covalently fixed onto a solid support (such as resin microspheres).
Remove the protective group from the N-terminus of amino acids to make them reactive.
Peptide bond formation: Connect the N-terminus of the next amino acid to the C-terminus of the previous amino acid through a chemical reaction to form a peptide bond.
Repeat extension: Repeat the above steps until the target polypeptide chain is synthesized.
Release and purification: Use chemical reagents (such as TFA) to cut the peptide from the resin, and obtain the crude peptide through precipitation, washing, drying, and other steps. Finally, purify it by HPLC.
Efficiency and precision
Time reduction: Synthesizing a peptide usually takes only a few hours to a few days, significantly faster than traditional manual synthesis.
Purity control: By precisely controlling reaction conditions such as temperature, time, and reagent ratios, peptides with a purity of up to 99.5% can be synthesized.
Complex sequence synthesis: supports the synthesis of non natural amino acids, special modifications (such as phosphorylation, glycosylation), and long peptides (>50 amino acids).
Multi channel parallel synthesis
Number of channels: commonly 2, 4, 6 channels, some models can reach 12 channels or higher.
Asynchronous synthesis: Each channel can independently set synthesis methods, times, and reagents to achieve synchronous synthesis of multiple different sequences.
High throughput potential: suitable for scenarios such as peptide library construction and drug screening that require a large number of different peptides.
Intelligence and Scalability
Real time monitoring: Through online UV, reactor weighing and other functions, key parameters such as degree of deprotection and coupling efficiency can be fed back in real time.
Automated operation: supports automatic cleaning, automatic replacement of solvent bottles, automatic sample addition, etc., reducing manual intervention.
Data management: Record synthetic data throughout the process and automatically save it, facilitating new drug application and process traceability.
