Urine fluoride concentration meterIt is an instrument used to measure the concentration of fluoride ions in urine, and is widely used in the investigation of endemic fluorosis epidemics, occupational health examinations, and other fields.
Working Principle:
Urine fluoride concentration meterThe ion selective electrode method is usually used. The fluoride ion selective electrode has a selective response to fluoride ions in urine. When fluoride ions come into contact with the sensitive membrane on the electrode surface, a potential difference is generated, which is linearly related to the logarithm of fluoride ion concentration. By measuring the potential difference and processing it through the internal circuit and software of the instrument, the urine fluoride concentration can be obtained.
Maintenance and upkeep:
Electrode maintenance: Fluoride ion selective electrodes need to be cleaned regularly, and the electrode surface should be rinsed with deionized water daily to remove residual water samples and suspended solids. If there is oil or organic pollution on the surface of the membrane every week, it can be soaked in weakly alkaline detergent or ethanol. If there is metal ion precipitation, it can be soaked in 5% dilute hydrochloric acid. After daily use, soak the fluoride electrode in a 0.01mol/L NaF solution. If it is not used for a long time, the storage solution should be replaced weekly. The electrolyte level of the reference electrode should be observed daily. If it is below the scale line, 3mol/L KCl solution should be replenished in a timely manner. The electrolyte should be checked for turbidity, crystallization or bubbles every week, and the liquid interface should be checked for blockage every month.
Pipeline maintenance: Check daily whether the pipelines for water samples and reagents are unobstructed and whether the flow rate is stable. Backwash the pipeline with clean water every week, clean the circulation pool, check if the filter is clogged, and replace the filter membrane in a timely manner if it is clogged.
Calibration and verification: Perform single point calibration after daily startup, and perform 2-3 point full-scale calibration every week or month. Compare the fluoride meter measurement values manually in the laboratory every quarter. If the deviation is greater than 10%, recheck the electrode status, reagent effectiveness, or calibration curve.
