Glass rotor flowmeter, commonly known as glass rotor flowmeter, is an instrument widely used for measuring the flow rate of liquids, gases, or vapors. Its basic principle is to determine the flow rate by the relationship between the floating of the rotor in the flow tube and the fluid flow rate. This flowmeter has the advantages of simple structure, intuitive operation, easy observation and maintenance, and has therefore been widely used in many industrial, scientific research, and laboratory applications.

The main components of a glass rotor flowmeter are:
1. Flow tube: It is usually made of transparent glass or chemically resistant plastic material, which is convenient for observing the floating situation of the rotor. The conical design of the flow tube is the core feature of this flowmeter.
2. Rotor (float): It is usually a conical float made of metal or plastic, designed to float freely up and down inside the flow tube, reflecting the size of the flow rate.
3. Scale dial: used to calibrate the relationship between the height of rotor float and flow rate, usually calibrated using data provided by the flowmeter manufacturer.
4. Bracket or shell: Support the flow tube to ensure its stability and resistance to tilting during operation. Some models of flow meters are also equipped with a casing, which can protect the flow meter from external environmental interference.
Advantages:
1. Easy to operate: The reading method is intuitive, and users can directly determine the flow rate by observing the position of the rotor.
2. High accuracy: For low to medium flow measurements, it has good accuracy and is suitable for precision measurements in laboratories and some industrial processes.
3. Easy maintenance: The structure is simple, with few faults, and easy to clean and calibrate, with a long service life.
4. Wide applicability: It can be used for flow measurement of various gases, liquids, and vapors, and is not easily affected by external environmental temperature or pressure changes.
5. Strong corrosion resistance: As flow tubes are usually made of glass or corrosion-resistant plastic materials, they can withstand the erosion of most common chemical substances.
Precautions for using liquid glass rotor flowmeter:
1. Avoid severe vibration: The flowmeter should be installed in a stable environment to prevent external vibrations from affecting the rotor's float and causing inaccurate readings.
2. Avoid high temperature and high pressure: As mentioned earlier, it is not suitable for use in high temperature or high pressure environments, so attention should be paid to pressure and temperature limitations during installation.
3. Regular calibration: Although the structure is simple, regular calibration is still necessary to ensure the accuracy of the flow rate. Especially when the usage environment changes, regular calibration is an effective means to ensure measurement accuracy.
4. Choose the appropriate model: Select the appropriate rotor flowmeter model based on the flow range, medium type, and working conditions. Different models of flow meters are suitable for different working environments and measurement requirements.
