When the fluid passes through the conical glass tube from bottom to top, a pressure difference is generated between the upper and lower parts of the float, and the float rises under this pressure difference. When the upward force, buoyancy, and viscous lift acting on the float are equal to its gravity, the float is in an equilibrium position. Therefore, there is a certain proportional relationship between the fluid flow rate and the rising height of the float, that is, the flow area, and the position height of the float can be used as a measure of flow rate.
Usage tips:
After ensuring the accuracy of the first two points, you can start using them. The operator should read the instruction manual carefully before use. When opening the valve, be sure to slowly open it. If it is estimated that the flow can float the rotor but the rotor does not move upward, stop immediately and continue opening the valve. At the same time, gently tap the pipeline to allow the rotor to slowly rise. Many operators opened the valve too forcefully, causing damage to the glass tube just after installing new equipment. This should be noted by the operators.
2. When receiving it, first observe whether the glass tube is intact, as glass tubes are prone to damage. Next is to remove the fixed object and gently tilt it to see if the rotor can slide freely up and down. If it cannot slide freely, gently vibrate the support plate so that it can generally slide. If it can no longer slide, professional technicians need to dismantle the machine to solve the problem.
When installing on the pipeline, the first thing to consider is whether the downstream pipeline is in a straight line. If it is not on a straight line, it will not only affect the measurement accuracy of the instrument, but also damage the instrument.
4. Safe use: Some operators like to remove the front cover for use, but this is not allowed because the glass tube is prone to bursting. Removing the cover for use provides protection. So the cover cannot be removed for use.
5. When using in winter, attention should be paid to keeping warm. If not used at night, any residual liquid must be drained to avoid freezing the glass tube.
