Guidelines for using a constant temperature stirring water bath
Date: 2025-09-04Read: 1
Constant temperature stirring water bathIt is a commonly used instrument for constant temperature heating and stirring in laboratories, suitable for experiments such as drying, concentration, distillation, impregnation of chemical reagents, drugs, and biological products.

Constant temperature stirring water bathThe usage process:

preliminary preparation

Check the appearance of the equipment: confirm that the power cord and plug are not damaged, and that the temperature control panel and mixing switch are normal;

Add heating medium: Inject the sample into the water bath, with the liquid level covering the heating tube and not exceeding 2/3 of the total volume of the bath;

Fixed samples: If using test tubes or beakers, they should be fixed with brackets or fixtures to ensure that the bottom of the container does not directly contact the bottom of the tank (to avoid local overheating), and that the sample liquid level is lower than the water bath medium liquid level.

Startup and parameter settings

Connect the power, turn on the main switch, and the temperature control panel will display "real-time temperature";

Set target temperature: Adjust the set value (such as a constant temperature of 37 ℃) through the "heating/cooling" button on the panel, and the PID controller will automatically start heating;

Start mixing: Turn on the mixing switch and adjust the speed.

Constant temperature process monitoring

When the temperature of the medium approaches the set value, the thermostat will automatically reduce the heating power (to avoid overheating), and eventually stabilize within the target temperature ± accuracy range;

Regular observation is required during the process: ① Check if the liquid level of the medium drops (if it evaporates too much, replenish the medium at the same temperature to avoid dry burning); ② Whether the mixing is normal (no abnormal noise, no jamming); ③ Is the sample container stable.

Shutdown and Cleaning

After the experiment is completed, first turn off the heating switch and stirring switch, wait for the medium temperature to drop below 50 ℃ (to avoid burns caused by high-temperature operations), and then disconnect the main power supply;

Pour out the remaining medium: If not used for a long time, the water in the water bath should be drained and the bottom of the bath should be wiped with a soft cloth;

Organize equipment: clean brackets and fixtures, cover with dust covers, and store in a dry and ventilated place.
