What factors affect the temperature uniformity of an electric constant temperature incubator?
Date: 2025-10-16Read: 1
Electric constant temperature incubatorIt is a device that provides a stable temperature environment through electric heating, widely used in fields such as life sciences, medicine, and pharmaceuticals.
The electric constant temperature incubator is heated by an electric heater and controlled by a temperature control system to achieve constant temperature. When the temperature sensor detects that the temperature inside the box is lower than the set value, the temperature control system will control the electric heater to heat up; When the temperature reaches the set value, the electric heater stops heating, and accurate temperature control is achieved by repeatedly cycling this process.
Electric constant temperature incubatorThe temperature uniformity is influenced by various factors:
Core influencing factors:
Airflow circulation system: Insufficient fan power and unreasonable air duct design can lead to uneven distribution of hot air, resulting in local temperature differences.
Details of the box structure: The thermal conductivity of the inner liner material (such as stainless steel being superior to ordinary metal), the sealing performance of the door body (the aging of the sealant will cause temperature leakage), and the layout of the partition (overly dense or non breathable material will block airflow).
Load placement and quantity: If the samples are placed too full or stacked too tightly, it will block the airflow channel; The temperature difference between the sample itself and the set temperature inside the box is significant, which can temporarily disrupt uniformity.
Heating and temperature control configuration: Uneven distribution of heating elements (single point heating is prone to local overheating) and positional deviation of temperature sensors can lead to delayed temperature control response.
Secondary influencing factors:
Environmental conditions: Placing the incubator in an environment with large temperature differences, close to heat sources or ventilation openings, will increase the internal temperature burden of the incubator.
Equipment maintenance: Aging of heating elements, dust accumulation in fans, and fouling of the inner container can reduce heating efficiency and airflow circulation.
