As a precision measuring device, the installation quality of diffusion pressure transmitters directly affects the measurement accuracy and service life. The following elaborates on key details from five aspects: site selection planning, mechanical installation, electrical access, protection optimization, and commissioning calibration, to help you achieve efficient and reliable system deployment.
1、 Site selection planning: scientific layout, avoiding interference
Avoid areas with special working conditions
Stay away from strong vibration sources such as pump bodies and compressors, and install shock absorbers if necessary to prevent membrane deformation or weld cracking caused by mechanical fatigue.
Avoid high-temperature heat radiation areas (such as steam pipelines) and corrosive gas direct routes. If it is impossible to avoid them, insulation covers or anti-corrosion sheaths should be installed.
Flow direction and pressure point design
Liquid medium: The pressure tap should be located within a 45 ° range below the horizontal section of the pipeline to avoid the accumulation of air pockets; The gas medium is placed at a 45 ° angle above to prevent liquid accumulation and blockage.
The laying of pressure pipes should be kept continuously inclined upwards (slope ≥ 1:10), and a drain valve should be installed to facilitate the discharge of condensate or impurities.
2、 Mechanical installation: precise docking to ensure sealing
Flange matching and fastening specifications
Check the flange standards (ANSI/DIN/JIS) and size grades, use original matching gaskets, and prohibit aging or damaged seals.
Use diagonal progressive tightening of bolts, and operate according to the specified values in the manual with a torque wrench to avoid twisting of the membrane box caused by one-sided force.
Special scenario adaptation
High pressure environment: Use thickened flanges and high-strength bolts, and if necessary, add support brackets to disperse stress.
Health industry: Adopting clamp type quick fit fittings, paired with food grade silicone gaskets, simplifies the cleaning process.
3、 Electrical access: standardized wiring, strengthened anti-interference
Signal cable management
Use shielded twisted pair cables (recommended with metal braided layer), with the shielding layer grounded at one end (on-site end), and laid away from power cables with a spacing of ≥ 30cm.
Reserve sufficient redundant length inside the junction box to avoid loose connections caused by pulling, and apply waterproof glue to exposed terminals.
Power supply and output configuration
Two wire circuits require confirmation of power polarity, while three wire/four wire circuits require differentiation between signal ground and power ground to prevent common mode interference.
Surge protectors need to be installed in areas prone to lightning, and signal lines should be threaded through galvanized steel pipes and grounded with a grounding resistance of less than 4 Ω.
4、 Protection optimization: multiple barriers, extending lifespan
Environmental adaptability renovation
Damp environment: Install PTFE breathable caps and regularly replace desiccant packs.
Dust prone areas: Install filter components and regularly blow back to clear blockages.
Temperature compensation strategy
For high temperature conditions, a heat dissipation fin type housing is selected, and for low temperature environments, a heat tracing strip is used to maintain the temperature of the electronic compartment within the range of -20 ℃~70 ℃.
5、 Debugging and calibration: rigorous calibration to ensure linearity
Static calibration three-step method
Zero point calibration: Close the shut-off valve, slowly release pressure to the vacuum state, and adjust the zero potentiometer.
Range calibration: Apply 90% of the rated pressure and fine tune the full-scale potentiometer to ensure the output meets the standard.
Return verification: Reduce the voltage to zero and observe if the hysteresis error is less than 0.5% FS.
Dynamic response testing
Simulate the rapid pressure rise/fall process, monitor whether the output response time meets the process requirements, and investigate the opening of the damping valve for abnormal fluctuations.
Through the above refined installation and debugging, the measurement stability of the diffusion pressure transmitter can be significantly improved, and the maintenance frequency can be reduced.
