In recent years, indoor environmental pollution has become a "killer" that endangers human health, and has become one of the three major air pollution problems after "coal smoke pollution" and "photochemical pollution". Indoor environmental pollution control, as an emerging industry, is flourishing. However, due to factors such as lack of regulation, inadequate standard systems, construction of integrity systems, and lack of credibility, it has become a bottleneck restricting the development of the industry. Chaos, low brand awareness, lack of quality, and uneven technical levels of practitioners have occurred frequently, and there is an urgent need for management and regulation.
On June 5th, the project proposal meeting for the "Qualification Level Standards for Indoor Environmental Pollution Control Institutions" and "Indoor Environmental Pollution Detection and Control Service Specification", organized by the Jiangsu Indoor Environmental Pollution Prevention and Control Society, led by Jiangyin Tianbang Quantum Coating Technology Co., Ltd. and participated by Jiangsu Aier Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., was held at the Environmental Monitoring Center of the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment. Wang Deming, Chairman of the Jiangsu Indoor Environmental Pollution Prevention and Control Society, stated that the establishment of a group standard involving functional departments in Jiangsu marks the introduction of institutionalized and standardized concepts in the field of indoor environment in Jiangsu Province, which will effectively promote the sustainable development of the industry. This standard formulation will refer to the standard system and establish a standard comparison database to ensure practicality, operability, and effectiveness. The implementation of standards aims to establish a fair and just competitive environment, promote the scale and branding development of industry enterprises, provide the public with practical and reliable social service products, and solve the problem of mixed interests.
For a long time, the government has mainly focused on pollution prevention and control in the public environment, and there has not yet been a systematic institutional mechanism for promoting indoor pollution prevention and control. Professor Zhang Guangsheng, Vice Chairman of the Society and Jiangnan University, pointed out that the formulation of standards should first define the scope of the standards, clarify indoor environmental pollution factors, treatment methods, and treatment effects.
Li Jun, Vice President of Jiangsu Standardization Research Institute, stated that group standards are standards generated through mechanisms. The "Qualification Level Standards for Indoor Environmental Pollution Control Institutions" and "Service Standards for Indoor Environmental Pollution Detection and Control" can be tested first in Jiangsu and can be upgraded to national group standards through social inspection.
Wu Lixin, Vice President of Jiangyin Tianbang Quantum Coating Technology Co., Ltd., stated that indoor environmental pollution factors are numerous and complex, forming a holistic system. Controlling the indicators of a single factor cannot meet the final requirements, and sustained and effective governance is the guarantee.
Hu Yue, Deputy Chief Engineer of Beijing Institute of Labor Protection Science, stated that in the process of formulating standards, full consideration should be given to the operability of the standards, and on-site rapid testing is an effective method for detecting the effectiveness of indoor air treatment.
After joint discussion among the attending representatives, the "Qualification Level Standards for Indoor Environmental Pollution Control Institutions" and "Indoor Environmental Pollution Detection and Control Service Standards" meet the project requirements, and the project is approved. A standard drafting group has been established. Professor Wang Deming, Chairman of the Jiangsu Indoor Environmental Pollution Prevention and Control Society, requested that in the process of standard formulation, key enterprises in the industry should be fully involved and opinions should be widely solicited to reach a broad consensus in the industry, enhance the applicability and effectiveness of the standards, strictly control the quality of the standards, and ensure the high-quality and timely completion of the compilation tasks.
