Sensofar will assist at the Atapuerca archaeological excavation site in Spain in July

As part of our collaboration with the Fundaci ó n Atapuerca Foundation and IPHES (Catalan Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution), our colleagues and experts Natalia Bermejo and Sara Aguado will visit the Atapuerca archaeological site (Burgos, Spain) during the excavation open season this July. At that time, they will showcase our equipment and its applications in the fields of Archeology and Paleontology, and they will also conduct measurements on-site for interested professionals.

In addition, on July 11th, we will launch a special report on the S neox and S wide systems and present it on-site. We will discuss various application scenarios of the Sensofar system, share our expertise, and answer any questions that may arise.

In the past two decades, the analysis of 3D images obtained through Sensofar's 3D optical profilometer in the fields of archaeology and paleontology has gained widespread recognition. Two typical applications include: analyzing the wear and tear of archaeological tools and teeth to obtain information about people's past behavior; And combined with laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) measurements to analyze the characteristics of ablated craters.
