New Linnik interferometer objective lens

Sensofar is pleased to announce the launch of the optional module Linnik interferometer objective. Linnik objective lens is designed to obtain interferometric images of surfaces located deep within transparent materials or surfaces that are difficult to access. The optomechanical design of Linnik objective includes two identical objectives - one for the reference surface and the other for the surface to be inspected.

Combining two types of bright field objectives provides various possibilities. Long working distance (SLWD) objectives, high numerical aperture objectives, water immersion objectives, or any objective group that does not meet the specifications of traditional interferometers can be used. The objective lens group can be two SLWDs with a magnification of 50x, used to measure PSI tilted surfaces, such as silicon wafers, with a 45 degree slope that does not touch the objective lens. Additionally, a set of 20x magnification EPI can be used to obtain images of protein crystals contained in glass protected water.

Although Linnik objectives have many advantages, they are difficult to use and require professional alignment skills. Usually, long dry light sources such as green or red LEDs are used through interference filters.
