What should be noted when using a full wavelength enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) reader?
Date: 2025-08-24Read: 0

Full wavelength enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) readerIt is a high-precision analytical instrument used in laboratories for multi wavelength detection of samples in microplates, widely used in fields such as life sciences, clinical diagnosis, drug development, etc. It can achieve various experiments such as enzyme activity determination, nucleic acid quantification, protein analysis, cell proliferation and toxicity detection. Its core advantage lies in its ability to cover a wide range of wavelengths and greatly improve experimental efficiency through high-throughput detection using microporous plates.

Full wavelength enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) readerPrecautions for use:

1. Sample and Microplate Preparation

The sample should avoid bubbles and particles (otherwise they may interfere with light absorption and cause data deviation), and if necessary, centrifuge to remove sediment.

Select a matching microplate (such as a transparent plate for absorbance detection and a black plate for fluorescence detection to reduce background interference), and ensure that the liquid volume inside the well is consistent (usually 50-200 μ L).

2. Instrument operation specifications

Preheat for 10-30 minutes after turning on to ensure stable light source.

When performing blank calibration, fill the blank holes with sample diluent to avoid edge hole effects.

Clean the bottom of the microplate before testing (to avoid fingerprints and liquid residue) to prevent light scattering interference.

3. Maintenance and Calibration

Regularly clean the loading platform and testing light path (wipe with a dust-free cloth) to avoid dust affecting the light path.

Calibrate the absorbance accuracy with a standard every 3-6 months, and fluorescent detection requires calibration with a fluorescent standard.

When not in use for a long time, it is necessary to regularly turn on and preheat the light source (1-2 times a month) to extend its lifespan.

4. Environmental requirements

Place on a stable and shock resistant workbench, avoiding direct sunlight and electromagnetic interference (such as centrifuges and refrigerators).

Control the ambient temperature(15-30 ℃) and humidity (30% -80%) to prevent optical components from getting damp or experiencing performance fluctuations.
