The large range laser dust analyzer is a high-precision detection device in modern environmental monitoring, industrial hygiene, indoor air quality assessment, and emergency rescue. It can measure the mass concentration of suspended particulate matter (PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10, and even TSP) in the air in real time, with a range covering from 0.001mg/m2 to 100mg/m2 or even higher. The excellent performance of a large range laser dust analyzer relies on the collaborative operation of multiple precision components, which together form a scientifically rigorous instrument.

1. Laser light source module
Using highly stable semiconductor laser diodes (usually with wavelengths of 650nm or 880nm), they emit high-intensity, low divergence parallel beams. When laser irradiates suspended particles, Mie scattering occurs, and the intensity of scattered light is directly related to particle size and concentration, which is the core physical basis of measurement.
2. Sampling system
It consists of a miniature vacuum pump, an inlet, a guide tube, and an outlet. The suction pump draws dusty air into the detection chamber at a constant flow rate (such as 1.0L/min or 2.83L/min) to ensure that the number of particles passing through per unit time is representative. The air inlet is often designed as a cyclone or settling pre separator to remove large particles or raindrops, protect the sensor, and improve measurement accuracy.
3. Optical detection cavity
Within a sealed chamber, the laser beam intersects perpendicularly with the airflow. The scattered light generated by particles passing through the beam is received by a high-sensitivity photodetector (such as a silicon photodiode) at a specific angle (such as 90 °). The interior of the cavity has undergone special treatment to prevent stray light interference and ensure signal purity.
4. Signal processing unit
The photodetector converts weak optical signals into electrical signals, which are then amplified, filtered, and analog-to-digital converted before being sent to a microprocessor. The built-in algorithm calculates the particle mass concentration (mg/m2 or μ g/m2) in real-time based on parameters such as scattered light intensity, airflow velocity, and particle density, combined with calibration curves. Support automatic zero calibration and temperature compensation to enhance long-term stability.
5. Display and operation interface
Equipped with high-definition LCD or OLED display screen, real-time display of PM value, time, battery level, alarm status and other information. The buttons or touch screen facilitate mode switching, data querying, and parameter setting. Some models support backlighting for clear readings in low light environments.
6. Data storage and communication module
The built-in storage chip can record thousands of sets of historical data and supports USB, Bluetooth, or Wi Fi transmission to computers or apps, making it easy to generate trend charts and export reports. Some models are equipped with GPS positioning to achieve spatial distribution visualization.
