Powder compaction density meter is used to measure the compaction density of powder materials and is usually used to evaluate the stacking characteristics of powders under specific conditions. The following are the steps for testing operations:
1. Preparation work
Ensure that the instrument has been correctly installed and calibrated.
Check if the power supply of the instrument is normal and ensure that the operating environment is clean and free of vibration.
Choose the appropriate testing mode as needed (such as timed mode or fixed frequency mode).
2. Weigh the powder
First, use a balance to weigh the mass of the powder to be tested, and record the accurate mass value (usually weighing about 100g or other specified amount of powder).
To ensure accurate weighing, use suitable containers and take care to avoid powder loss.
3. Load the powder into the compacting cylinder
Pour the weighed powder evenly into the compacting cylinder. Avoid the phenomenon of powder scattering or uneven accumulation.
Gently tap or shake the compacting cylinder to ensure that the powder is flat and filled into the measuring chamber of the instrument.
4. Set instrument parameters
Set the vibration time or number of vibrations for the compacted density meter.
If it is manual operation, confirm whether the frequency and amplitude of the vibrator are appropriate.
5. Start testing
Start the compaction density meter and let the powder compact inside the instrument.
The instrument will make the powder more compact under vibration and measure the bulk density of the powder through built-in sensors.
6. Read data
After the test is completed, the instrument will automatically display the vibration density results.
Record the numerical value of vibration density and conduct data analysis as needed.
7. Clean the instrument
After use, clean the compaction cylinder and other related components to avoid residual powder affecting the next test.
According to the cleaning standards of the instrument, avoid using corrosive solvents.
8. Data processing
Process or compare the test results with other powder samples as needed.
Notes:
Ensure consistent quality of powder during each test to improve comparability of results.
Avoid external interference caused by the vibration of the instrument during the testing process.
Ensure that the battery or power supply of the instrument is functioning properly and avoid any interruptions that may affect the results.
