A Brief Analysis of the Main Characteristics and Application Fields of Electric Automatic Collimators
Date: 2025-12-19Read: 1
Electric automatic collimator is a high-precision optical measurement device mainly used for detecting parameters such as straightness, flatness, and perpendicularity of guide rails. It is widely used in mechanical processing, optical component calibration, and other fields.
The light passes through the dividing plate located at the focal plane of the objective lens and forms parallel light through the objective lens. Parallel light is reflected back by a mirror perpendicular to the optical axis, and then forms a reticle image on the focal plane after passing through the objective lens. When the mirror undergoes angular deflection, the image of the returned reticle on the photoelectric sensor will be displaced. By accurately measuring this displacement value, the deflection angle of the planar mirror can be accurately calculated.
It usually consists of electronic eyepiece, objective tube, two-dimensional adjustment base, reflector, control measurement software, and other parts. The electronic eyepiece is used to capture the reflected cross image, the photoelectric sensor receives information from the image, and the measurement software displays and analyzes the data in real time.
Main Features
High degree of automation: It can automatically complete angle measurement, data acquisition and analysis, such as the dual axis photoelectric auto collimator can automatically depict curves and calculate errors.
High measurement accuracy: using high-precision photodetectors, the resolution can reach 0.0001 "or even higher.
Versatile functions: It can simultaneously measure the angles of X and Y axes, and with different accessories and measurement modules, it can achieve the measurement of various geometric parameters such as straightness, perpendicularity, parallelism, etc.
Easy to operate: It is usually equipped with user-friendly operating software, supports multiple language interfaces, and can be connected to a computer through interfaces such as USB to achieve data transmission and remote control.
Application field
Precision machinery manufacturing: used for angle measurement and calibration of machine tools, instrument precision guides, and precision flat plates to ensure machining accuracy of parts.
Optical assembly: In the installation and adjustment of optical components, ensure the angular accuracy of lenses, prisms, etc., and guarantee the performance of the optical system.
Aerospace: Used for angle measurement of aircraft, satellite and other aircraft components to ensure the accuracy and reliability of flight equipment.
Measurement laboratory: As a high-precision angle measurement standard instrument, it is used for the transmission and calibration of angle values.
