Composition and structural analysis of wavelength dispersive sulfur chlorine silicon lead analyzer
Date: 2025-11-21Read: 0

The wavelength dispersive sulfur chlorine silicon lead analyzer is a commonly used elemental analysis instrument, which mainly analyzes the elements of samples through the principle of X-ray fluorescence (XRF). It is widely used in environmental monitoring, geological exploration, metallurgy, chemical engineering, materials science and other fields. The core of this instrument is to use the absorption and emission characteristics of different elements at different wavelengths of X-rays to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze the elemental composition in the sample.

The structure of wavelength dispersive sulfur chlorine silicon lead analyzer is relatively complex, usually composed of the following main parts:
1. X-ray tube
Function: The X-ray tube is one of the core components of the instrument, mainly used to generate high-energy X-rays. It generates continuous spectrum X-rays and characteristic X-rays by accelerating the electron flow to collide with target materials such as molybdenum, copper, and other metals.
Characteristics: X-ray tubes require the selection of suitable target materials based on the characteristics of the elements to be analyzed, and precise control is used to ensure the stability and intensity of X-rays.
2. Sample Room
Function: The sample room is a place where the sample to be tested is placed, usually in a sealed environment to avoid external interference factors (such as air, humidity, etc.) from affecting the measurement results. Samples are usually placed in a specific location to ensure the X-ray irradiation angle and analysis accuracy.
Structural features: The sample chamber has transparent windows or membranes that allow X-rays to pass through. Some analyzers will use a vacuum or nitrogen environment to reduce X-ray scattering and absorption.
3. Detector
Function: The detector is used to collect fluorescent X-rays emitted by the sample and convert these signals into electrical signals. Wavelength dispersive analyzers typically use high-precision spectral detectors such as scintillation detectors, Si (Li) detectors, or other semiconductor detectors.
Features: The detector can accurately identify the characteristic X-rays of each element based on the wavelengths of X-rays emitted by different elements, thereby conducting qualitative analysis of the elements.
4. Spectral monochromator
Function: The spectral monochromator is used to separate the fluorescent X-rays emitted from the sample by wavelength. Due to the very short wavelength and certain energy range of X-ray fluorescence, monochromators can accurately separate the characteristic X-rays emitted by target elements.
Structural characteristics: A spectral monochromator typically consists of a rotating crystal or grating that can disperse X-rays at different angles, allowing X-rays of different wavelengths to reach the detector separately.
5. Sample stage
Function: The sample stage is used to support the sample to be analyzed and allow it to rotate or move at multiple angles to ensure X-ray irradiation and data collection at different angles.
Features: The positioning and adjustment of the sample stage are precise to ensure the analysis position of the sample.
6. Control system
Function: The control system is the brain of the instrument, responsible for controlling the entire analysis process, including the operation of the X-ray tube, current and voltage regulation, acquisition of detector signals, data processing and analysis. Control systems are usually equipped with computer interfaces, allowing operators to set, adjust, and analyze data through the computer.
Features: The control system of modern wavelength dispersion analyzers is usually equipped with advanced user interfaces, which can provide a graphical operating platform. Users can easily set analysis parameters and obtain analysis results.
7. High voltage power supply
Function: The high-voltage power supply provides the required voltage for the X-ray tube, usually requiring a high voltage of several thousand to tens of thousands of volts to accelerate the electron flow to the energy required to generate X-rays.
Characteristics: The stability of the high-voltage power supply directly affects the quality and intensity of X-rays, with precise control to avoid interference with the analysis results.
8. Data processing and analysis software
Function: The data processing and analysis software is a component of the wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence analyzer, which is responsible for processing the signals collected from the detector and performing spectral analysis to obtain quantitative analysis results of elements.
Characteristics: Modern analysis software typically has powerful data processing capabilities, including spectral denoising, background correction, element quantification, report generation, etc. The software can also automatically calibrate samples to improve the accuracy of analysis.
The wavelength dispersive sulfur chlorine silicon lead analyzer can accurately and quickly analyze the elemental composition in the sample by accurately dispersing the characteristic X-rays emitted by different elements. Its main structure includes X-ray source, sample chamber, detector, spectral monochromator, sample stage, control system, high-voltage power supply, and data processing and analysis software. The coordination and cooperation of various components ensure the efficient and accurate operation of the instrument, providing important technical support for fields such as environmental monitoring and geological analysis.
