The 20th National Youth Catalysis Academic Conference will be held from May 10-14, 2024 in the beautiful coastal city of Dalian, Liaoning Province. The meeting was hosted by the Catalysis Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, and co organized by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Sinopec Research Institute of Petrochemical Technology Co., Ltd.
The National Youth Catalysis Academic Conference has been held every two years since its inception in 1987, aiming to provide a platform for young catalysis workers (aged 45 and below) to learn and exchange ideas with each other. The theme of this conference is "Catalyzing the New Era and Seizing the High Ground". The conference will comprehensively showcase the latest progress and achievements of young catalytic workers in China's basic and applied research in the fields of energy, chemical engineering, materials, and biology in recent years, focusing on topics such as biology and organic catalysis, artificial intelligence and theoretical calculations, advanced characterization methods, fossil resource utilization and environmental catalysis, industrial catalysis, catalyst design and preparation, solar photovoltaic (electric) conversion, electrocatalytic energy conversion, biomass and plastic catalytic conversion. It will deeply explore the opportunities, challenges, and future innovative development directions faced by China's catalytic field in the current century's unprecedented changes, promote cutting-edge technological exchanges and interdisciplinary integration in catalysis, deepen communication and cooperation between industry, academia, and research, and comprehensively promote the development of catalytic science and technology in China.
