The double-layer glass reactor is a widely used experimental and production equipment in the fields of chemistry, new material synthesis, etc. It is mainly used for chemical reaction control in laboratories and industrial production. Through the double-layer glass structure, constant temperature heating, cooling, and vacuum operation are achieved. It is suitable for high temperature (up to 300 ℃) and low temperature (-80 ℃) reactions, and supports processes such as stirring, distillation, reflux, etc. under normal or negative pressure environment. Its core design is a double-layer glass structure, which achieves accurate temperature control by injecting a constant temperature medium (such as hot oil, freezing liquid) through the interlayer, and also has functions such as stirring, reflux, and distillation.
The reaction medium is placed in the inner layer, and the temperature control is achieved in the interlayer through the circulation of freezing liquid, hot water, or hot oil. For example, introducing a high-temperature medium into the interlayer can heat the reactants, while introducing a low-temperature medium can achieve cooling. At the same time, a vacuum pump can be used for negative pressure reaction.
Double layered glass design
Inner layer: Place the reaction solvent in direct contact with the material, using high borosilicate glass, with characteristics such as high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, transparency, and visibility.
Interlayer: Circulating media (such as hot water, hot oil, and frozen liquid) are introduced, and heating or cooling is achieved through external temperature control devices (such as oil bath pots and low-temperature circulation pumps), with a temperature range covering -80 ℃ to 250 ℃ (some configurations can reach 300 ℃).
Outer layer: Protect the inner layer, and some models use stainless steel shells to enhance durability while reducing heat loss.
working principle
Constant temperature control: Accurately control the temperature of the inner layer material through interlayer circulation medium to ensure stable reaction at the set temperature.
Mixing function: Equipped with a variable frequency speed regulating mixer, it can achieve stepless speed regulation, ensure uniform mixing of materials, and avoid local overheating or insufficient reaction.
Reflux and Distillation: Reflux or distillation of the reaction solution is achieved through a condenser tube, suitable for processes such as separation and purification.
Vacuum operation: can create a negative pressure environment for vacuum reactions or solvent recovery.
Regular inspection of sealing rings, mixing blades, and other components is necessary to avoid pressure imbalance caused by blockage of the cooling system. It is recommended to disassemble and maintain the equipment annually to ensure long-term stable operation.
