Technological Advancement: From Basic Detection to Intelligent Insight
Food safety testing is undergoing a profound technological paradigm shift. Zheng Xin mentioned in the discussion that the industry is evolving from traditional microbiological testing to more complex risk warning and full process control.
Zheng Xin mentioned in her speech that detection technology is moving from sensory evaluation and basic instrument analysis to more widely applied high-end technologies such as liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC/MS) and gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The driving force behind this transformation comes from the industry's relentless pursuit of detection efficiency and accuracy
To support this trend, Agilent invests approximately 7% of its annual revenue in research and development, dedicated to building end-to-end solutions. At the same time, Agilent has also launched regulatory based solutions, ranging from non targeted screening, to multi instrument collaboration, and to laboratory automation, providing solid support for customers' various complex testing needs and fulfilling industry responsibilities.

In response to the enterprise's technology investment strategy, Zheng Xin proposed 'Balancing the present and the long termStrategic thinking.
He suggested that in order to meet short-term compliance requirements, enterprises can flexibly choose third-party testing services, but in the long run, self built testing capabilities will be the key to building core competitiveness for enterprises. '
He further pointed out that with the increasing demand for health and nutrition among consumers, food quality data is becoming increasingly important. Being able to conduct in-depth analysis of high-end products and utilize tools such as AI to mine data value will become an important symbol of leading food companies. '
