It is necessary to clean the bypass pipeline of helium ionization gas chromatograph

The helium ionization gas chromatograph is suitable for detecting six impurities, including H2, O2, N2, CH4, CO, and CO2, in high-purity argon. The instrument is equipped with a high-performance argon discharge ionization detector; A high-purity argon analysis solution is composed of an injection valve with a blowdown protection gas path using *, a 1/16 'Swagelok connector for gas path connection, and components such as a purifier.
After long-term use, the inner diameter of the bypass pipeline of the helium ionization gas chromatograph gradually decreases, and even becomes blocked. After the diversion pipeline was blocked, the instrument's injection port showed abnormal pressure, decreased peak shape, and abnormal analysis results. During the maintenance process, regardless of whether the blockage of the diversion pipeline can be determined in advance, it is necessary to clean the diversion pipeline. The cleaning of diversion pipelines is generally carried out using organic solvents such as acetone and toluene. Sometimes, it is difficult to clean severely blocked diversion pipelines with simple cleaning methods, and other auxiliary mechanical methods need to be adopted to complete the cleaning. Suitable steel wires of appropriate thickness can be selected for simple dredging of the diversion pipeline, and then cleaned with organic solvents such as acetone and toluene. Due to the difficulty in making accurate judgments about the situation of the diversion section in advance, it is necessary to clean the diversion pipeline during the maintenance process for a manually diverted gas chromatograph.
For gas chromatographs with EPC controlled diversion, prolonged use may cause some small injection debris to enter the interface between EPC and gas pipelines, which may cause blockage of the EPC section or pressure changes at the injection port at any time. So during each maintenance process, try to inspect the EPC part of the instrument as much as possible, clean it with organic solvents such as toluene and acetone, and then dry it.
Due to injection and other reasons, some organic matter may condense on the outside of the injection port at any time. A degreasing cotton dipped in acetone, toluene and other organic matter can be used to preliminarily wipe the injection port. Then, the organic matter that cannot be wiped off should be removed by mechanical methods first. Be careful not to damage the instrument components during the process of removing solidified organic matter. After removing the solidified organic matter, carefully wipe the instrument components with organic solvents.
