6061aluminum alloyIntroduction: It belongs to the Al Mg Si alloy system, with moderate strength, good plasticity, and excellent corrosion resistance. Especially with no tendency towards stress corrosion cracking, it has excellent weldability, good corrosion resistance, and cold workability, making it a widely used material A very promising alloy. It can be anodized and colored, and can also be painted with enamel, suitable for use as a building decoration material. It contains a small amount of Cu, so its strength is higher than 6063, but its quenching sensitivity is also higher than 6063. After extrusion, it cannot be quenched by air and needs to be re solution treated and quenched for aging in order to obtain higher strength.

1、 6061aluminum alloyThe main alloying elements of element 6061 are magnesium and silicon, forming the Mg2Si phase. If it contains a certain amount of manganese and chromium, it can neutralize the harmful effects of iron; Sometimes a small amount of copper or zinc is added to improve the strength of the alloy without significantly reducing its corrosion resistance; There is also a small amount of copper in conductive materials to offset the adverse effects of titanium and iron on conductivity; Zirconium or titanium can refine grain size and control recrystallization structure; To improve machinability, lead and bismuth can be added. Mg2Si solid solution in aluminum gives the alloy artificial age hardening function. The main alloying elements in 6061 are magnesium and silicon, which have moderate strength, good corrosion resistance, weldability, and good oxidation effect.

2、 Characteristics of Magnesium Aluminum 6061: American Aluminum 6061-T651 is the main alloy of the 6-series alloy and a high-quality product that has undergone heat treatment and pre stretching process; Alcoa 6061 has excellent characteristics such as processing performance, good corrosion resistance, high toughness, no deformation after processing, easy coloring film, and oxidation effect.

Main application: Widely used in various industrial structural components that require certain strength and high corrosion resistance, such as manufacturing trucks, tower buildings, ships, trams, and railway vehicles.

6061 heat treatment process

Rapid annealing: heating temperature 350-410 ℃; The insulation time varies between 30 and 120 minutes depending on the effective thickness of the material; Air or water cooling. 2) High temperature annealing: heating temperature 350-500 ℃; When the thickness of the finished product is ≥ 6mm, the insulation time is 10-30min, and when it is<6mm, it should be fully penetrated; The air is cold. 3) Low temperature annealing: heating temperature of 150-250 ℃; The insulation time is 2-3 hours; air or water cooling.
